Good for like 55,000th in the competition and somewhere around 40/60 in my gym. I was happy with how I did though. Excited to see how much I can grow in a year if I stick with it.

  2. I caught the last part of the MLB app broadcast and Jason mentioned they would have Dirks, Petry, Daniella, Logan and one other non-game person-can’t recall whom, for future broadcasts-maybe that was Spring only, but I don’t think so.

  3. So now we have reached the point where we openly murder the leaders of other UN member states because we feel like it, and because it makes for good diversionary politics at home. Jesus is weeping because we are taking his name in vain while doing so.

  4. I also think Gores will pay the tax, but only for a year or two. It's not sustainable for much longer than that

  5. he wasnt responding to bonghit. i think its inevitable that the pistons re-sign duren. and i also think he's getting the max or close to it. so is ausar. its the easiest thing to do, so that's what will be done. i think gores will pay over the tax. spending money has never been his weakness. his weakenss is vanity and his sister in law...

  6. Totally opposite for me. You can replace 90% of what Duren gives you as a rim running big for half the price he's going to get and probably get better defense in the exchange. Sure, Duren does some extra stuff, but that 10% isn't the truly important stuff like running the offense, spacing the floor, or locking down the paint. Most of what he gives you relies on someone else feeding him. On the other hand, Ausar is a top 1% athlete with defensive instincts and a high basketball IQ. That's rare. He completely bends the game (and the laws of physics) when he's in there and his on/off stats show it. The team is simply better on both ends of the court when he plays because he's a high level passer, cutter, and offensive rebounder who gives you easy buckets and extra possessions - and this team is entirely built on winning the possession game. Everyone's job gets easier when he's on the court. JD's only 22, so maybe he learns to shoot the three someday and the narrative changes. But then again, maybe Ausar gets to 33% someday as well. Both are about as likely, but for now I'm keeping Ausar in my core over Duren all day.

  8. Really the big difference between Massie and the rest is that while Massie has a lot of terrible ideology (despite some areas of agreement with Dems of late), he actually *has* an ideology. So much of the MAGA movement doesn't have core beliefs. It just believes in the leader. That's it.

  10. It's funny, Trump could get rid of Putin who has killed thousands of Ukrainians just as quickly as the Ayatollah but doesn't.

  11. This MLB app works so much better than the clunky FanDuel app. I really hope this is how we get to watch baseball this summer. FF and RW works perfectly.

  13. I also don't care about the WBC. I have always thought of Spring Training as a very laid back time where players get ready for the season, fans dream unrealistic dreams about the season and the feeling of anticipation builds up as we get close to opening day. Then all of the sudden the real games start and there is a jolt of excitement. The WBC interferes with that for me, but I don't get upset about it.

  18. I’d like to see us add Danny Coulombe to the bullpen still. I’m not inspired by Holton/Hurter being our pen Lefties. Someone with a bit more late-inning setup experience and consistency would help a lot. Maybe Horn or Sommers emerge as key pieces to the pen, but if we are going for broke this year with Skubal—I’d rather see us learn from our previous regimes mistakes and have a well diversified pen.

  21. I wish we had the paradigm of 1991 in place still. Massive and exceptionally advantaged technologically, actually worried about outcomes and knock-on effects of disrupting current order, allies lining up to pay into a common fund for collective security, upset at killing civilians, Vietnam miasma in rear view mirror as a warning to not do that. Add in these elements: Sober as f SecDef - as opposed to guy who needs to show you how many push ups he can do between shots POTUS schooled in noblesse oblige and who had actually been shot down in a shooting war - as opposed to a guy who rapes children Chairman of the Joint Chiefs schooled by life as a small unit commander in Vietnam and the inventer of the weinberger doctrine - as opposed to whatever yassir we got now

  24. I don't think Trump wants the takeaway from this to be that killing the leader is a way to change the regime.

  27. The point being lost here is that the death of Khamenei doesn't guarantee the fall of the actual regime. Isn't that the actual goal here? It reminds me of all the rejoicing from about taking out Maduro... At the end of the day, the same socialist regime is still leading the place, isn't it? Meet the new boss, same as the old boss... But at least the Bubbas are entertained lol

  28. Yep. The new CBA rules pretty much dictate a max type player has to be able to create for himself and/or others. There are multiple bigs that can shoot and play defense that I still wouldn't max. I was really hesitant about JJJ and his max contract. I wouldn't have maxed Chet. Both of those guys can shoot three's and are both good defenders. Bam is the same way and I wouldn't max him. Gafford would have been a nice get. He was also rumored to be available for a 1st and he would have fit into the TPE before they blew it on Soric. For the next 3 seasons he makes about $18 million per year. Centers are basically the running backs of the NBA. Don't pay them.

  29. Tigers finish the game with 12 runs and 17 hits and although the bottom of the 9th hasn’t been played yet, I imagine that a 12–1 lead is sufficient to call this one a win.

  30. The amount of awareness and poise with Jenkins can't be overstated. That kid is a find. Plus the way Paul Reed stepped up when they needed him. Quality of minutes. Talk about roster-building. It's not about the quantity of minutes, it's about the quality. Jenkins made Ivey expendable. I just hope the guy they got for Ivey can't do something at some point. Feels like a bit of a wasted opportunity so far. Don't care about who was out for Cleveland. A win is a win. We had plenty of games without Cade and Duren and Harris and we won 'em.

  31. From Max: Detroit Red Wings The perfect fit: Justin Faulk, RHD, St. Louis Blues The trade: Faulk for Detroit’s 2026 first-round pick, 2028 second-round pick, LHD prospect William Wallinder and G prospect Landon Miller **** so max goes from a month ago saying he'd bever give up a first for faulk, to now saying we should give up a first, a second, and two prospects.
