  1. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/37681787/nfl-football-power-index-2023-season-projections-super-bowl-chances-playoff-draft Lions are number 1 in the North 4th in the NFC and are 11th overall.
  2. The NBA is going to have to make Scott Foster work double duty if they want to prevent both these series from being sweeps.
  3. Royals fans definitely moved up some notches in my book with the ovation they gave Miggy that night.
  4. I wanted Candy back just cause I thought he was our best chance of getting a potential elite bat at a reasonable cost since he was just that a season prior. Despite that though I understood the rationale behind the move not to bring him back so I'm certainly not going to drag Harris over the coals for it.
  5. You can never have enough ball handlers that can create their own shot and looks for others.
  6. Maybe his numbers weren't as bad as I remember but it felt like Griffey was really bad for several years at the end too.
  7. The last part is the important part to me, this isn't some 1 or 2 year thing, we are almost to the point where he has had more below average to terrible seasons with us than the great ones we remember.
  8. I just think he is more on offense just than just a catch and shoot shooter. I'm just going by highlights and scouting reports but I think he has the ability to be a 3 level scorer despite his relatively low athleticism. On top of that it seems like he has great vision and iq, I think between him and Cade they would beable to either get the easy shots for themselves or open shots for others.
  9. Trying to think who they could target, Siakim is a FA after 24 so would Toronto take 4 and maybe another piece or two for him? I doubt it but he's a guy that comes to mind.
  10. Plus you had to believe that Greene and Tork were going to be better than last year and while Greene appears to have taken that next step recently as a whole they haven't been a whole helluva lot better. If they both took steps for the year like Greene has this month then that wouldve been like adding two impact bats vs last years team.
  11. Yeah I ended up tagging my one friend in it and replying today cause somebody first originally responded with "another 5 years of this and you're talking about a top 5 or 10 hitter of all time" to which the guy I tagged today responded with something like "with his body type in 5 years I'll be surprised if he will even beable to move." I told him today that he was more right than he couldve ever imagined.
  12. It's funny cause my "memory" on FB today is a post I made there in 2013 that said "Miguel Cabrera is on pace to hit .380 with 35HRs, 175RBIS and a 1.068OPS this year. It's not fair how good he is." Feels like a lifetime ago now.
  13. Damn talk about offsetting the great night we had the other day where Erie had something like 25 hits just by themselves.
  14. Then we can trade for Lonzo and Lamello so we could throw the D*ck and Balls lineup out there.
  15. Starting to do some more research now that I know where were picking and I'm starting to really like Gradey D***, has some question marks to his game but so does everybody else that we're going to have a shot at but I feel that he is a safe choice and could contribute and help right away. Doesn't have the athleticism of many of the other choices but he has the elite shooting skill and from what I read has a high basketball iq(which is something I really value) and is a good shot creator despite the lesser athleticism, kinda a lot like Cade in that regard.
  16. Miller seems to be the Jalen Carter of the NBA draft.
  17. I might be misremembering but I'm almost positive I read an article years ago that broke down the physics to prove that yes any ball that landed in the upper deck would've been a hr in the lower deck as well.
  18. It would be nice but even though he is still young he has been in the pros for 4 years now and still in low A, to me that just isnt promising despite the relatively young age.
  19. More recent Id like to go back and take Hali or Maxey instead of Killian.
  20. Hutch and Jack Campbell will be on that list in due time.
  21. I liked how JEIII was arguing with people before the lottery that suggested that if we got Wemby we should be at the point where we're atleast competing for a play in spot and he was like "that's an unrealistic expectation given the age of the team." I'm sorry this next year will be the 5th under Weaver, third with Cade along with now having 5 lottery picks under him including two top tier number 1 picks(again this was with the assumptionthat they got Wemby). I don't think it's unreasonable to expect after all that to atleast be a high 30s low 40s team, if you're not then you did something(s) wrong along the way and shouldn't get a free pass because they are young. I mean by his standards we shouldn't be a good team until Cade's 5th year and Iveys 4th which is ridiculous imo. I know that's how it looks like it is going to turn out but the point is it shouldn't have been that way. I feel this coming year shouldve been the year at the very least we were a mid 40s win team but that isn't going to happen.
  22. Denver's really never had any early picks outside of Mudiay who was a bust and they are successful as well, same with Milwaukee but of course they both hit on two of the best players in the league outside of the top 10 so hard to duplicate that. The pre blow up Utah teams are probably the best example, they never really did much in the playoffs but they were atleast successful in the regular season despite no top selections and no top tier superstars.
  23. I saw something similar to this last week but it showed the teams from the last 15 or 20 years and 2 of the teams that made the top 20 from that span were the 2011 Lions(i think that was top 5) and.....22 Lions. The pessimistic in me worries that maybe that played a vital role in the success of both those seasons.
