Kiley McDaniel says as well that Skenes is the best college pitching prospect since Gerritt Cole and one of the handful of the best in the last 20 years. Still though for all the reasons that have already been outlined I just don't like the idea of taking a pitcher that early. He would need to be viewed as the clearly better prospect to do so like how Mize was at the time.

Shep's calls don't annoy me so much, I mean not that they are good or anything but they don't really bother me that much what does though is the stupid things he will often say throughout the broadcast. For example I mentioned it the other day but he's like "The Tigers have now scored more runs in 5 innings than they did all of the first game!" The way he started the sentence you thought it was going to be some wild tidbit he was about to throw out but nope, just letting us know that it took them 3 more innings the previous game to score that many runs.

What I wouldn't have given to have Lange on those good Tiger teams!

I think your Blazers may be just as if not more cursed than the Pistons when it comes to the lottery and early draft picks. With your guys luck you will get the number 1 pick and take Victor and he will be oft injured meanwhile Scoot or whoever was drafted right after will turn into a HOF.

Are the Pistons gonna wait till after the lottery to hire a coach? It seems like if we were to get number 1 and Victor this could be an attractive spot.

Yep, he hasn't been good in several years and in the past couple years has been awful. He may or may not be better than alot of backup QBs but unlike those guys they know their worth and what their job entails, I'm not sure Cam feels the same way. I could see him making crypted social media posts anytime the starting QB has a bad game or something like that.

Especially taking one now with how much teams limit their SP's workload. I mean even 10 years ago you could atleast count on your "ace" taking you through 7 most nights barring an off night, nowadays teams are so cautious with even the best pitchers they rarely let them go past 6 unless they are absolutely dominating. So at best you're looking at maybe 200 innings pitched now, unless you pitch like prime Pedro there is only so much value that can provide over the course of the season with that few innings.

In 2022 Detroit produced the 3rd most NFL players at 16 only trailing Miami and Houston at 19. Considering those cities often get players from other states to come play High School there it makes the Detroit number even more impressive.

Klay comes to the Warriors rescue which seems to always be the norm with the Warriors when others have bad games. Klay will have an indifferent game for several games in a row but it won't matter cause Curry will bail them out but then the one game where Curry is a little off will councide with Klay being on fire to completely offset it.

McShay has us picking 22nd in his way too early 2024 Mock. Philly, SF and Dallas are the NFC teams picking after us so apparently that projection system has us winning the division also. It did have Minny picking 21 so going by that one atleast it expects a close race between us two with both making the playoffs. BTW he has us drafting Texas WR Xavier Worthy. Had Minny picking JJ McCarthy with the 21st pick which caught my eye, didn't know he was viewed that highly among some of the scouting circles. Had him going higher than Penix and Nix.
