Not in a hundred million years did I see this coming. I was completely wrong and doubted Jim Harbaugh and company all season long. I never had an ounce of faith. I thought they'd lose 62-30 and get rolled over. This was Jim Harbaugh's finest hour as a head coach. Simply a phenomenal performance by his offensive line, Haskins was incredible running the ball, and the defense got big stops when they needed it. Jim Harbaugh, Josh Gattis, Mike McDonald truly deserve all the props on this one. They out coached Ryan Day and they had their team better prepared.3 points

We don’t know where the new variant originated. South Africa is where it was first detected and sequenced because they are doing a great job at those things. Since we don’t know where they begin trying to assign a geographic name is ignorant and inaccurate.3 points

There's a lot of difference between Hunter and Jared. Hunter is whore chasing drug addict that lives off of daddies name and was paid off by foreign companies to get daddies' influence. Jared is very successful and did a good job in his work in the WH achieving peace in the ME and working with other countries on foreign policy. The only thing Hunter did successfully while being overpaid in jobs he wasn't qualified was seducing his brothers wife. Sounds more like jealousy than corruption.2 points

The differences in value among the five are not as great as perception may lead you to believe.1 point

Only fans would be upset if something great happens, because something slightly greater didn't happen. Any of the five free agent shortstops would be great, you could make a case for all of them being top ten in the league, and all would be huge upgrades. Be happy if they get any of them.1 point

It was great, but I was starting my career and on the west side of the state....my wife was going to UM but finishing her degree, we were engaged, and we didnt get to go to any games....while it was sweet, I didnt feel as personally invested. Also, my 2 sons started to go to U of M 4 years ago....we went to a fair number of games, and have been mired in this stretch of losing big games, starting with the MSU punt fail. We got to celebrate today and it was a very sweet time. Plus one of my sons has had a terrible health break this year, so it felt like we really needed this more than ever.1 point

I bet Baez doesn’t tell himself he’s the fifth-best shortstop on the market. That would strike me as completely out of character for him.1 point

Completely blown away. I’ve been waiting on this for months as well and it was even better than I hoped. Amazing to witness their songwriting process. It definitely makes me wonder about the meanings of songs and their lyrical content. There’s an assumption from fans of most bands that every word of their favorite songs are carefully crafted and unusual parts have deep ulterior meanings. Turns out many times they just find something that fits in with the music and the few lines they already had and just add it on the fly because it sounds good in the moment. I did like how they reference Clapton and his long solos and improvisation and since Jam music and bands didn’t really exist, they just call this Jazz. I did enjoy the subtle comment about “chemical tea” and the ensuing session where it’s obvious they have been taking LSD. Incredible at some of those experiential sessions and the massive smiles they all have. This was a time shortly after Yoko had a miscarriage. The two of them had been heavily into heroin for most of 1969 but I think they were clean at that time afterwards. There also may have been some sympathy from the band for her that wasn’t there prior but i assume we will get more on this in other episodes. I really want you watch episode 2 right now but it’s too early to get in the proper head space. Tonight for sure.1 point

The Trump family is the most amoral corrupt political family I have ever seen and that's saying a lot. There is nothing good about any of them.1 point

America has always looked to itself first regardless who the president is. America First is just populist BS. When we do things for other countries, the intent is to ultimately help the United States in some way. How does calling it South African variant make anything easier? We still have to deal with it the same way.1 point

The other fun one along the review line is the internet recipe review from the cook who simply loved the recipe and then proceeds to describe the 8 or 10 changes they made that meant they actually cooked up a completely different dish.1 point

I think it's all very complex. It is difficult to say definitively when life starts. I don't know if there is a magical point where I can say for sure where a fetus becomes a person. I probably sound strongly pro-choice, but I am actually ambivalent. I certainly don't think abortion is a positive thing, but I'd rather give women a reasonable interval in which to make a decision. I will add that I think some people who call themselves Christians also pick and choose what parts of Christianity that they like. I am an agnostic myself. My values have been shaped by Christian parents, so I know that's part of me but I am not religious.1 point

And over and over again when in a court of law, the “allegations” of fraud turned out to be baseless. Over and over again the loud talk outside the courtroom got weaker and quieter inside, with timid admissions that no, they had nothing in terms of evidence of fraud. If it had ended there, it would have been bad enough, but instead the majority of the Republicans still continue to lie about voting fraud. None of them have shred of honor. They are thoroughly dishonest people and should be scorned and shown the door at the next election. That shows they do not believe in the rule of law. Instead people like Archie parrot the lies and will keep them in office. No shame. None.1 point
