I don't disagree, but it is funny that we were (i.e. the forum) having this very discussion at the beginning of the game when he started his last hot streak. I tend to believe it's too easy for guys with easy power like Torkelson to let themselves get a little lazy, and aside from the fatigue factor a day off can remind them they need to keep up the focus on actually being a good hitter.

Somethings just come down to quality of life issues. If advertising for drugs, gambling and lawyers would all go away again, my quality of life would definitely improve.

This fact, annoys me so much! Why do we have to have all of this advertising for drugs, new drugs?? In the ad always has the verbiage that suggest you tell your doctor you want this drug. WTF! This for sure is why some of these prices are out of control. I know it has nothing to do with this particular argument, the other thing that really annoys me is the names of these new drugs. Who the hell has this job that comes up with these names? I don’t know why I have this visceral reaction to these ads, but it’s like nails on a chalkboard. It just really aggravates me. Wow. This is such an “I’m old and cranky… get off my lawn” post. Oh, well. I yam what I yam. 👵

One of my prescriptions runs me $600+ after copay. The first month is about $6500. It's still considered experimental and can only be prescribed thru a speciality pharmacy. Fortunately it seems to be effective, we think...

That and more! We got to Detroit earlier than expected after a seven hour drive. We checked into our hotel and took a walk to get something to eat at the Sweet Water Tavern. Then we took a walk to the Stadium since none of us had ever been there. The game was about to start and I was talking to the Security Supervisor Supervisor about what we should do to ensure that Porter got a bobble head. He provided the information. We decided to go to that game too and got to witness an exciting game with the rookie Parker Meadows hitting a walk off home run. Saturday we followed the Security advice to a tee. When the gates were supposed to open at 4:30 another security guard came to the gate and told us that the decision had been made not to open that gate and we would have to go to another gate. Porter was Hugely disappointed, then the guy handed Porter a brand new MLB baseball we went through the other gate and all four of us got bobble heads. We got to our seats in the front row on the third base line and Parker Meadows apparently noticed Porter with his Tiger's jersey, ball and glove and came over after warmups and signed Porter's ball. Except for the two losses we had a fabulous Tiger's weekend!!!

There are lots of thing wrong with the Ontario medical system, and that moron premier of ours is deliberately making it worse. Having said that, my wife pays $4.11 for each prescription (drugs are covered if you are over 65) and she just had cataract surgery on both eyes for $640 (had to pay for the lenses and the measurement test).

I'm still getting caught up on The Bear, but I just watching the family Christmas dinner episode. The show is always a bit of a stressful watch, but they cranked that up to 11 in that episode. Oh my! And all the guest stars were simply fantastic.
