Just reading through the thread now.... so the Lions win 34-20, in Lambeau field, and all I see is TP complaining about Lions coaches lol. My god man, if you can't enjoy a double digit win in Lambeau then what's the point of being a fan.

My favourite Terry Francona story, oft-repeated, one more time. Sean Casey, playing for the Red Sox, was thrown out twice at second base, trying to stretch a single, within one week. I think some of the play-calling in the second half yesterday was intentionally ultra-conservative. We jumped out to such a lead, and our defense was doing such a dominating job, that I think they took a calculated risk that we would in all likelihood win the game if we didn't suffer any catastrophic turnovers. Just run the ball up the gut, we were gashing them on it anyway. It reminds me a little of Michigan's offense against everybody but Ohio State. Why go to page 20 of the playbook if you can beat them on page 2?

It's funny how that works. I've known a few posters on other boards that were extreme fanboys like TP and their persona was a lot different away from the message board so I'm sure that applies to TP too but man is it a chore to read his GDT posts haha and, make no mistake, his snap reactions are next NEXT level compared to the rest of the world. Me personally? Last night was one of the most enjoyable experiences I ever had as a Lions fan even through the wobbles in the second half. The only thing that was missing was sharing this with a bunch of other Lions fans in person which is kind of hard to do here in NY, most of my buddies are Giants saps.

I can’t believe I’m going to do a tiny defense of Packers fans here, what are you making me do. But I’m sure if some random fanbase read one of the MTS/MTF game day threads, particularly after a loss, they would think we are terrible sports and just a bunch of morans. I tend to think our board is pretty intelligent, but (along what I just said above about GDTs) the game day thread isn’t really a good microcosm of the fan base. It’s still fun to read that though after a win. I do think that the Packers have a lot of fair weather casual football fans. Now with that out of the way, the Packers suck, Packers fans suck, let’s put up 50 on Thanksgiving. That feels better.

Well, if 1 & 2 don't happen, then I just don't know what to say about the results of the restoration or whatever they want to call it. This team is for real folks. Get used to it. Also, and I don't want to jinx it but they have Carolina, Tampa and Vegas in 3 of the next 4 games with a bye mixed in to get some guys back plus Jamo just in time for Baltimore so this team could go on a serious run and create some real separation in the division and I highly doubt that a Dan Campbell led team will take any opponent lightly so it's hard not to feel good about where this is headed.

I wore a Lions t-shirt in the Grand Canyon this weekend going Rim to Rim and got comments from around 20 people (out of 200 or so people I saw until I got back to the south rim). People think it’s a great story and everyone is intrigued and wanted to chuckle and chat.

Speaking as a folk on the left, I might have some concern if the MAGA Republicans who are behind most of the anti-immigration effort would provide good data in support of their arguments. Instead I just see histrionics about wide open borders and bringing drugs and bringing crime and rapists and some I assume are good people. It's a lot of scary words but no facts that I have seen so far. If you have any data to share, something that would perhaps bottom-line the scope of the problem, I'd love to review and consider it.

Can't say we did not see that coming! I have a number of UAW buddies and not one of them would show up to a Trump rally.....
