I try to be a realist when it comes to the Lions - We've all been burnt so many times - but I cannot for the life of me figure out why some people do nothing but bitch about this team. The hyperbole is beyond ridiculous & the fact that when things are going well you hear CRICKETS .. 1 bad thing & they're the worst team in history. Why follow a team that makes you like this? & if you like the team, for crying out loud SHOW IT ONCE!

I'm concerned about Goff when Tanner Engstrand becomes coordinator and becomes head coach after another successful season from Goff without McVay and Gurley.

It looks like they're playing him off ball more often which is helping to free him up a bit instead of multiple guys blitzing him constantly when he's doing all the ballhandling.

I said in an earlier post somewhere, Philadelphia and SF are the best 2 right now and SF just took a big leap fwd. The Lions are among a large group of next tier teams. I’m expecting every week to be a fight from here on. While 21-0 turning into 33-28 doesn’t feel great, they did enough and l’ll take the W with a smile.

Every Lions fans biggest fear of Jordan Love actually becoming a good qb is starting to come to fruition. Still a small sample size but he has not only looked good of late but elite. Please have this just be a stretch of great play and not the Packers going from Favre to Rodgers to yet another elite qb. They deserve to suffer at that position for a stretch of years just like every other team in football has!

This makes me happier than I expected it would. I suspect he will have a Tigers hat. He’s talked many times about coming full circle from the minors and majors with the org. In his MLB network he had a tigers hat on the shelf behind him. Yea he works for the org I know. I just suspect that’s what it will be. He had plenty of success with the Tigers to justify it.

The thing is… to the company…. From their perspective… so what? I’m with G2. I can not be happy but my time is money and I just move on. Sometimes things just suck. The companies know this. You can complain and eventually find someone who will send you an apology or offer a lame discount on a future product. They empower no one so you are on your own. yes they are cynical. Their loyalty is to the stock price and shareholders. Customers are just a means to that end.

I'm not that worried about $30M AAV per se. But specific to bringing in a top tier SP, which Snell is considered to be, the walk rate is too high for my liking. Its been that for a while, and he's gotten away with it due to a lower H/9. Now, OK, it is better to allow a walk than an extra base hit, and that's where he's been able to find success. However, what happens when the velocity ticks down a bit, the movement isn't quite what it was, and the contact becomes more frequent, more solid, more pinpointed onto the barrel of the bat? Ain't gonna be pretty at $30M per. For $30M per, I would want a history of success with a reasonable projection of sustainability. I'm a complete amateur looking at numerals hacktastically. But I kind of question Snell going forward.
