  1. Imane Khelif had a valid birth certificate saying she was born female, but it didn't stop you pervs from questioning her gender and putting her life at risk. Nice to see you were so triggered you couldn't stay away.

  2. Imagine spending that much energy hating trans kids. That just feels like a sad existence to me.

  3. I'm far more concerned with a handful of oligarchs and billionaires in the top 1% controlling 30% of all the wealth in the US and controlling 40% of all new wealth. But if you want to make trans people the focus of your time and attention while Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and the billionaire class are picking your pocket and ****ing you up the ass, go right ahead and misdirect your time and attention.

  4. She literally comes from a country where it is strictly forbidden and punishable to be trans. She's an example of what I said before and that these laws are just designed to harass women who don't appear feminine enough.

  6. What's the enforcement trigger? Can someone just say "Hey, I think that person is trans...." Is there an inspection? Is it the honor system? I know lots of "husky" girls who could beat the crap out of me in sports. Would they have been asked to show their goods to some creepy pedo religious person?

  7. I don't know why people think Torres is a poor hitter. He's a 112 OPS+ lifetime hitter and still only 28. He has slashed .283/.377/.623 with five bombs in 61 plate trips at Comerica. Why do people think he's weak?

  8. I guess i just hate moving Keith off a premium position to first were it seems like you could find a Sean Casey/ Carlos Santana type to fill that position id rather they let Keith work on 2nd more then one season since hes on a long term deal .... and yes its only one season but we only have Skubal for 2 seasons and if they bomb this season it might be less .... id rather see them more Jace To first really he doesnt seem to have the Athleticism for the left side of infield... but i could be wrong

  9. I don't know why Bregman hasn't signed yet. I don't know which teams have offered what. I don't know how he feels about the Tigers. I hope they get him.

  10. Sharing here... Because I think the Flaherty contract structure means the Tigers are planning on being at least luxury tax adjacent next year.

  11. Or established hitter with poor glove at 1st and decent 2B who improved over the course of the season at 2B at least until he proves he's 'outgrown it'. The fly in the ointment in the Torres deal from the beginning is Gleyber's unwillingness to at last try 1B. That is the most rational course of action for the Tiger team, and the fact that they signed a guy unwilling to do the best thing for the team is the thing that makes me regret the signing.

  12. Speaking of Deuce, a couple weeks ago he signed on to be the hitting coach for the Diamondbacks AAA team in Oregon. He's surely going to be out recruiting some big tough lumberjacks to be some muscle for his organization. Also gives him a chance to spread his operations to the Northwest.

  13. Embiid has been in the league 9 years, 11 if you count the first 2 he didn't play. This will only be the 20th game he has played against Detroit.

  17. Kriedler would be my choice. I just don't see any reason to keep him at this point as he doesn't really offer anything that I feel can be a help to the team. GUys like Ibanez atleast offer the skill to hit lefties if need be, Malloy showed some OBP and power potential, Mckinstry has defensive versatility etc. Kriedler really doesn't offer anything that you couldn't immediately find off waivers or in the minors if need be.

  27. Feeling pretty good. I spent the last hour or so firing up some rather downcast relatives who are genetic Republicans who are offended by the Trump era. Got each of them pumped up to write to Members of Congress, prepare to participate in protests. My 95-year old Dad is going to write a hard copy letter to his GOP Congressman. The countryside is awakening. They can't kill us all.

  28. I want both Bregman and Jung. I also hope we can keep Tork and he somehow becomes a consistent 30hr a year guy. I'm crazy that way.

  29. Just sign Bregman. Jung ain’t it.

  30. Now, The Heritage Foundation, Bannon people and Trump likely think they are merely asserting dominance. Its WWE and MMA jughead stuff and the people so dominated will shirk back to their proletarian quarters in shame. Give people no option and there will be chaos.

  31. ... case in point, as recently as three years ago I thought the pronoun thing was weird and was convinced there was a cottage industry talking people into transitioning for profit. Yesterday I changed my work email signature to protest the ridiculous pronoun policy.

  32. Dust is still settling, but this is shaping up to be a very successful trade deadline for Trajan. Gave up nothing and got a backup ballhandler (Schroeder), and young 3-and-D wing with athleticism (Martin), and three 2nd round picks. Weaver would've given away picks to get another useless draft bust Center. They're playing with house money right now sitting somewhere between a 6-8 seed when most people had them as a 10th seed or lower to start the year if they were lucky. There was no need to sacrifice the future if the right deal wasn't there. Gain assets, improve on the margins, and see what happens. You probably need a healthy Ivey and access to your picks (after this draft) before you can make a significant trade anyway.

  33. Appears to be to simply look at a description on any spending. Does it indicate another country? If yes, cut it. Could a person on X construe it to be DEI related? If yes, cut it. Does it sound boring? If yes, IDK, maybe flip a coin.

  34. I was thinking this myself. Is there a world where you could get Garrett for minimal draft capital by taking on Watson's contract? It seems the cap number doesn't quite work. That's the ugliest and worst contract in sports history, save for many Bobby Bonilla. So I'm not sure I'd do it even if the numbers added up.

  37. I mentioned here before that I had my 9th birthday party in the lower deck in left on the Fidrych Yankees Monday Night game. The last day of school was the Friday before. Summer was starting. I was going into surgery in a week. All night I was surrounded by friends and family, some no longer with us. We expected a crowd of 20k, it was jam packed with 48k. The cheers on every out. The post-game curtain call, which was a rarity back then. From memory, almost 50 years later, I could write a 5,000 word essay on that night. Easily the most memorable day of my childhood. But ask me to write 500 words about anything I did in 2017 and I’d be stumped without checking emails or a calendar from that year. I’m so silly that whenever I watch a replay of that game I still hold out the faint hope that when the camera pans the crowd I might spot us, somehow having never noticed before. If someone offered me a chance to go back to that day for 6 hours in exchange for $100,000 I’d write a check in a heartbeat.
