For what it's worth, Ragnow's retirement frees up about $14M on this years cap and $16M on next years.2 points

This is massive. This is the sort of thing that could be the difference between a Super Bowl run and missing the playoffs all together.2 points

Steve Stone just said that Dillon Dingler is becoming one of the best catchers in baseball. I like the kid all right, but I think it might be a little early to say that. And just as I type that, he crushes a bomb deep to the left field seats. So apparently, Steve Stone knows baseball better than I do. 😁1 point

When he was on that St. Louis broadcast, he just looked really uncomfortable with the role of an analyst. He might be more of a sidekick than an analyst and and that’s not to say anything bad about him, but he looked so uncomfortable. He looked like a guy that had just been given a circumcision without anesthetic Three days in a row.1 point

Zack has a really strong arm. But not great range. 3rd base or corner OF is his best spots.1 point

This is their plan to get us so fatigued that we stop paying attention, then they go to town and we just shrug as the roundups of dissidents begin.1 point

I don't care who is at the keyboard. If tweets go out under his name, even if he knows nothing about it, it's him. It's his responsibility, If it's his name, it's his voice and his words. He does not get off the hook for not knowing. Or at least he shouldn't.1 point

I feel bad for JHM but there’s only spots for 13 position players. I don’t know how Parker Meadows will pan out this year. I have no idea if last year‘s performance was anomalous or indicative of his true abilities. What is certain is that his play will decide.1 point

Parker Meadows activated; JHM optioned to Toledo. Ryan Kusick DFA to open a spot on the 40 man.1 point

Sad to see. Hard to believe it’s been seven seasons already, and unfortunate it was only seven. But thanks Frank for a stellar run. Those are big shoes to fill.1 point

Hendrickson... get 'er done Holmes. I'm OK with Glasgow taking over at Center. I'm not sure how the two guard spots are going to shake out with Mahogany-Frazier-Ratledge (and maybe even toss Eguakun in there as a backup C; although I don't believe he's shown much)... But we're going to have to go through this every so often, and still maintain a way to stay on top and in the hunt for playoffs/ Super Bowls... We already have gone through that this year with new coordinators & other coaching spots after offseason hires... Now... we LITERALLY have to go through a "changing of the Guards". Oh, and a new Center. It might force us a step backward... but I have confidence from DC all the way down that these guys will respond and we will still be a legit threat for the SB. I'm betting that Glasgow takes the Center spot this year. Even if Ratledge or Frazier take the starting Center spot... eventually, I don't think that will happen this year. So we'll need Glasgow to perform at a high level. I believe both Ratledge AND Frazier are being cross-trained at Center... just in case. I hope Mahogany takes one of the starting guard spots... freeing up either Ratledge or Frazier (I think Ratledge takes the other spot...) to "float" as top backup for the 3 interior spots. And I hope Goff has a 100% healthy year with no time lost due to injuries as a result of O-Line struggles... Just my 2 cents. Is Eguakun anything? A UDFA Center-only from last year... I don't know what level he's at... Again... I go for an upgrade on Defense to counterweight some O-sluggishness due to these changes. Whether that's upping the offer to Smith or taking the big swing for Hendrickson... I'll leave that up to Brad to decide (obviously...).1 point

It’s a city of broad shoulders and a hell of a town. I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit when I’ve been there.1 point

You're assuming the team wasn't aware of things every step of the way. Seems to me the reason for the late announcement is that he was making every effort to get healthy for the upcoming season and just couldn't.1 point

Can't be too disappointed in the offense this weekend, Bubic and Wacha might turn out to be the best pair of pitchers they face back to back this season. If KC starts to hit at all they are going to be heard from.1 point

weirdest thing about that movie is that Peter O'Toole is not that great an actor in it. He's there. He' chewing scenery like a ham but his acting performance just serves as the tune in a Hank Williams sr. song: it carries the outstanding main art. In Hank Williams sr.'s case it was the lyrics, in Lawrence of Arabia the breathtaking film-making.1 point

No... The only exception being the same player being claimed in a waiver period: a team that already claimed him moves to the back of the line. The risk is roster spot. You have to keep the guy around for a couple days (full week in the offseason), so you can't just bypass the roster crunch.1 point

Also, in addition to today’s Tiger win, each of our four minor league affiliates won. I believe this is the 3rd Flying Dutchmen of the season, and it’s only June 1!1 point

I remember hearing it's an official scorer who decides a pitcher was the most effective. The same scorer who watches a player drop a popup and gives a hitter a hit. 😗1 point

No. If I'm not moving Ivey in a deal for a star, I'm not moving him. Maybe if White was 27 and not 31.1 point

If I had a nickel for every time that DeBoer threw a beloved goalie under the bus I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice!1 point
