It's honestly one of the dumbest lines imaginable when you think about it.

If any normal person stole classified documents from the government, no shit we'd be in a lot of trouble. What makes Donald Trump so fricken special?

They reflexively say it so often that they don't realize how dumb it really sounds.  "Uh... yeah... that's the point.  Nobody is above the law.  That's how it is supposed to work"

but if you put in the context of people who have always been able to claim favored status with respect to law enforcement, i.e. white privilege and the rest, it makes more sense.

Is she saying the President and Presidency should be above the law? I guess when you support outright authoritarianism, fascist dictatorship, and strongman theocracy, that comes with the territory. If this is the GOPs and MAGAs general response, to criticize the FBI and make arguments like this, they are going to lose politically speaking. I can't see this whole President is and should be above the law argument resonating very well with voters back home.

Been busy capitalisming today.   Did the Civil War start yet?

Be careful what you wish for.  It's one thing if you have strong men on your side, like Ted Cruz, who puts on a breastplate daily, grabs a battle axe and fights the barbarians daily.

The former guy who lost the election can end the drama today and release a copy of the search warrant to prove that he's innocent (until proven wrong)

But no, he and his disciples just want to continue to fan the flames of insurrection. Then blame the whole thing on the Democrats, because it's never their own damn fault.

This reminds me a little bit of the 1960 election and JFK talking of the "missile gap".  There was no gap.  He knew it once he became the candidate and got intelligence briefings.  But he kept saying it knowing that Nixon couldn't refute him without disclosing classified briefings.   The DOJ is following their process to not comment.  Everything we know about this comes from the target.

Yes Trump has exploited this many many times

What a complete, utter coward. A president almost had him killed and that wasn’t enough.

Pence is pretty much a worm. I can't really come up with a better fit. That would be a guy that blindly follows his nose in the dark, eating whatever dirt has been shoveled on him, and in the end just ends up a someone else's bait.

It's like the mob boss wanting you whacked, his button man shows up at your door with the gun in hand, he misses, and you still stand up for the guy who tried having you whacked.

He knows which side the bread he allowed to mold and then accidentally dropped on the floor before he picked it up and buttered it is buttered on.

Not for nothing, Trump could still have him whacked.
