Media Meltdown and also Media Bias 101

Newspapers much like much of smaller market broadcasting is now owned by venture capitalist groups. You'll normally find a small handful of employees available to cover stories that they used to cover 10, 20, 30 years ago. Usually one person who has to juggle city hall, school boards, courts, etc.

The same happened beginning 30 years or so ago with local broadcast media.

It's all part of the dumbing of America. Everything has become a McDonalds or Starbucks.

On the one hand one would think that, given how fast the denial was followed by the arrest, red hats would question how Yost and their media could justify such a 180 so fast on the story without addressing the error itself. On the other hand, maybe they understand that the point of their media is to generate lib tears, not to vet news accounts, so their media is not held to that standard.

LOL - Yeah - this one was pretty funny.  I *almost* feel sorry for Brooks. He's a guy who has lost his long time faith as a righty and without it he doesn't see how any institutions can stand because after all, weren't they all supported by an ideology that failed? So now he can only see what the DOJ is doing in a purely politcal/transactional light, ignoring that you do some things because they are right.

His problem is that he doesn't realize that his premise is wrong. It was never right wing ideology or values that held up the democratic West. They have been a perversion since at least Nixon. The values that hold up the democratic West are truth and justice. The ideology of the American right not only never had any monopoly on those it never even cared much about either.

I know most will dismiss this as it's Hunter Biden, but the fact that so many news organizations and social media outlets completely shut it down, or as Facebook admits now, limited it's spread, based on information from the FBI and not by verifying it themselves, is pretty scary.

Yet nobody talks about Jared's $2Billion Saudi deal or his wife's multiple deals with China right after the 2016 election.....

Actually many people have talked about Jared's deal and the stuff with Ivanka.  In her case, the full story indicated nothing wrong with Ivanka, that's why you didn't hear more of it, because it was fully vetted.  In Jared's case, it's sickening and much worse than the Hunter Biden stuff even if it turns out to be true that 'The Big Guy' was in fact Biden (which deep down we all know it was) and POTUS did in fact have business ventures with China that were hidden and lied about.

So to answer your whatabout, yes, what you mention are things that should be explored via the news and not censored (which they were not) by the MSM and social media outlets.
