My kids have CC that we control. My 14 year old gets $20 a week allowance. Half goes into his spending account and half goes in a savings account that he can't use on his own. He picks up dog poop for 4-5 neighbors and the money is handled the same way. We let him take loans out against his savings but it is repaid with future deposits and has a feature on the card were you can charge interest on the loan that goes directly back to his saving account. We have it it set at 39% so he is very careful about asking for a loan out of savings. What better way is there to teach a young teen about the dangers of CC's? I have convinced a number of our friends to use this with there teens.

Interesting, this sounds pretty useful actually. I stand corrected

imagine being alive for any of the past 50 years and thinking the GOP doesn't want to cut "entitlements" (entitled to things you paid for)

Not for nothing, I have always hated that they've successfully labeled the public pension and health insurance that we are supposed to get as senior citizens which were funded by the taxes we all paid as productive workers "entitlements", as though they're trying to goad us into feeling guilty for being entitled to free handouts by Uncle Sucker, or something like that.

Calling them "entitlements" makes it easy for Cocaine Mitch's rhetoric to take hold among the working-class rubes, those that would benefit from it the most, who end up opposing it because they envision all the wrong people living it up on their dime.

It would be ****ing shameful if those political ****ers could feel any shame.

Who you gonna believe? Janet Yellin or this lunatic?

I swear, the House Freedom Caucus are the 2008 Detroit Lions of political caucuses.... probably doesn't help to extract concessions when you repeatedly signal over and over again that you'll never vote for any alternative no matter what.

The idea of "living in the moment" is precisely the kind of thing that people who say they live for Jesus despise. Good thing Rep Nickel's district doesn't reside in Jesusland. He'd be thrown out on his finely-tuned ear next year.
