People that downplay January 6 do not love our country and what it stands for. It’s that simple. When that gets said it tells you everything about their political outlook.4 points

A huge Thank You! to Tigeraholic1 for doing an exemplary job of doing the game threads this year. Much appreciated!4 points

The book is now closed on Manning, Skubal and Mize for '21. So out of that huge stable of arms the Tigers could count three years ago after drafting Miz, 4 have become solid starters - Skubal, Mize, Manning and assuming he comes back healthy in '23, Turnbull. Two look like solid relievers - Funkhouse and Fulmer, Even Feado still has a chance to make the majors after his TJ. On the down side, Norris never turned into the pitcher I thought he might have been, Burrows has pretty much washed out - back in the minors with a different team. And Boyd is just Boyd. But that is still an amazing success rate for pitchers.4 points

Yawn. We heard those tired comparisons 9 months ago and they are as stupid now as they were then. It takes a concerted effort to pretend they are the same. The goal was to interrupt the peaceful transfer of power, kill members of Congress if necessary, and cause chaos so that the dimwit Trump can be president longer. Sorry but anybody who likes that guy is a dipshit.3 points

I mean, there was one guy who was caught walking around with zip ties in the Senate Chamber. If the event were that peaceful, why would they need zip ties? Nothing personal Archie, but it appears that the only reason that you can sit there and say "oh, it wasn't that bad" is because a number of police made decisions in the heat of the moment that day that prevented it from being much worse.3 points

The people that are the greatest threat to our democracy are obviously the ones that tried a coup 10 months ago.3 points

He is either going to play baseball or go back to Miami where he lives. He’s not going to trudge around an MLB season away from his family unless he’s playing. Guys like Willie were ambassadors because they lived here. I doubt we see much of Miggy around town when he’s finished. The statue unveiling, “Miggy Day”, HOF, jersey retirement. That’s it. He won’t be coming to Tigerfests in 2045. These guys are already packed up and gone since the Tigers finish on the road. His flight Sunday is from chicago to Miami.2 points

Six year survivor here. It's rough on the patient, but very hard on the support person as well. Take good care of yourself, too.2 points

The Yankees vs. the Dodgers is about as appealing to me as a Ron Jeremy special on A&E Biography.1 point

This is nuts. Nothing about Trump is peaceful or patriotic. He is all about creating chaos and undermining America. His voluminous record on this account speaks for itself. And every reasonable person can easily see that Trump worked as hard as his imagination would allow him to destroy the peaceful transfer of power. So get out of here with this garbage. We’re not a Facebook group here.1 point

Serves her right. She knew Loyalty St. was one way when she turned down it.1 point

I could normally care less about what happens in the off-season. It’s not like that this year. Also a win today would be meaningless but it sure would feel good.1 point

it's unavoidable, because there's an odd number of teams in each league. yeah, the NL team in the final interleague series should have to play on the road. maybe we'll get lucky and the NL will adopt the DH next season.1 point

There's got to be some money angle behind it. I'm not sure what it is though.1 point

It could be. I was able to see him three times in Toledo, and outside of a bomb to centerfield, he was making a ton of hard hit outs. Most of them to right and center. I was at the game on Friday, and Aderlin Rodriguez’s grand slam landed on Monroe St.1 point

Yes Yes Yes He wants to play and the Tigers can’t treat him like a burned out whore who isn’t pretty anymore. More confidence than is rational is a part of the psychological and emotional make up of every big-time athlete. The Tigers are a business that offered him a contract and he signed it. He plays until he physically breaks down or his contract is over. Period.1 point

All in for the Rays in the AL. Anything after the Rays I don’t care as I despise the rest of the teams. In the NL, I’m for the Cardinals.1 point

By all means we get a good player we should probably just get rid of him for a draft pick....to hopefully draft a player as good as the one we traded away...1 point
