The individual team websites I created are the replacement for the news feeds that used to be part of the MotownSports website. I don't intend to make them a part of MotownForums.com, as this website will just contain the forum software. Please visit the other sites as I'm sure you will find them much better than what was previously available on the old website.

Baddoo needs some time in Toledo to work things out (like our other Rule 5er, Reyes). Nothing wrong with that, he's raw. They don't need to send a position player down until Mize's start date, so do it then. Hill probably just suffered another injury while getting a haircut or something, so we'll have to rely on Cameron and see if he's got anything, but we need more defensive confidence in CF. I don't mind Reyes starting, I like him, he's improved. In my opinion, we had 4 errors last night, Castro's counted, but Candy had one, the play at first base where Torkelson didn't cover, should have been an out, Baddoo's misplay......sure the wall was close, but should have been a catch. If anything, Castro's was the toughest to call an error because I don't think he throws him out on that play. We need a lineup shuffle. I am assuming Baez is back today. My shuffle today would be Meadows, lf Schoop, 2b Baez, ss Miggy, dh Tork, 1b Haase, c Candelario, 2b Reyes, rf Cameron, cf Just try something, anything different right now. Miggy & Tork are heating up and Meadows is getting on base. Schoop is always a slow starter, but he seems to be better hitting in the 2 slot. Candelario is a rally-killer right now. I know he'll get better, but I am pretty sour on him right now. Don't Madden things up by overthinking it. Meadows plays every day until it becomes obvious he can't hit lefties..... Can't wait to see if Manning follows up the last start with another good one.

I recall in the not too distant past the Richmond Flying Squirrels ownership stating publicly and clearly that the team would absolutely would need a new facility if it was going to stay in Richmond. At the time of the statement I believe another site was being discussed in Richmond but can’t be sure of that. Yes, the current park is old. The current team ownership spruced it up a bit when the SF Giants relocated their AA team from Connecticut with the hopes of getting a new facility in time. As I recall, that was a part of the conversation surrounding their move. My son and his family live in the Richmond area and catch some games there in the summer. My wife and I have been there many times over the years. For years it was the AAA facility for the Richmond Braves as I’m pretty sure you know. The park is super accessible off I-95 which I have always liked. Regarding the comments about delays on opening day for concessions, I would be willing to bet that that was a direct result of staffing inefficiency's and lack of organization. I’ve been to many opening day games at different parks and it is not unusual for new hires to be less than efficient on opening night with large crowd turnouts. OJT isn’t easy. Per their promo schedule, Will Clark was scheduled to be there on opening night also. You surprised me a bit with your closing comment about Richmond possibly getting “a more appealing team than one based on the west coast.” The SF affiliate has been one of the top draws in their league since relocating from Connecticut. There have been many high profile players go through Richmond that ended up on SF WS teams. I don’t know how you could improve on their track record there. However, they absolutely do need a new park. When MLB took over the minors with their upgrade requirements, The Diamond was definitely in the spotlight. I seriously hope they get things ironed out for a new park in Richmond soon.

That's kind of a shame. I didn't always check it, but I fully respect and appreciate the diligence that was involved with keeping up with the numbers.

Perhaps it's the easier access to guns? Why does Oklahoma have a higher murder rate than Michigan? What city in Oklahoma is bluer and more violent than Detroit?

This site (MotownForums.com) is nothing more than message forum software. If you desire to read stories specific to each of the four Detroit professional teams, I have built separate websites for each team that are much better than the setup we had within the website portion of the old MotownSports website. All four sites pull in news feeds from throughout the internet specific to each team and are a great resource for finding team related news/stories. I have links to them throughout this forum, either in the side bar on the main forum page or through the links on the top of each individual team forum. You can also find the links under the heading "Motown Sports Network" in the main header on the forum. Each site was built for a specific audience and links back to this forum. I'm going to hazard a guess and say he's talking about how when you went to motownsports.com there was a page with articles from the four teams. You then had to click visit forums to continue to the forums. I did a Google image search and found what I think he is talking about. Looks like we still have them but the pages are under each team now in the forum.

If it is 4-5 months spacing, may as well get one now and another in the fall.
