That's basically what happened in Pittsburgh with the Prince/Woods team. The Pirates wanted more sponsor related stuff in the booth. The also offered Woods a very small raise which he turned down. I was 12 when we left Western Pa, but I remember listening to the game on Saturday or Sunday afternoon while throwing a rubber ball against the brick wall of my grandparents house.2 points

You kind of made the point I was trying to make...In a nutshell, Roe vs Wade, legalized abortion basically without restrictions in the first trimester...banned them in the third trimester with the exception of the mother's or fetus being in a life threatening situation...the second trimester was more open to restrictions. So OF COURSE everyone is against third trimester abortions, because they don't happen. The Archie Deflector nuts have their cult believing there are tens of thousands of women 9 months pregnant lined up at abortion clinics waiting to abort their pregnancy. The reality is much different. Even for women whose lives are in danger face a nearly impossible task to try and end their pregnancy. It's outrageously expensive (10k or more) and requires an out of state trip and there are literally only a couple of physicians in the entire country who will risk their lives to perform them. Ireland legalized abortion after ONE woman in her second trimester died after doctors refused to induce labor when her fetus had already died. Late Term/partial birth abortions, CRT, open borders, etc...all non existent dog whistles that make the sheep salivate.2 points

I've been glad to watch the Lions build this team up instead of reaching on a QB. Way too many other holes & depth needed. All of the earlier talk about Zach Wilson & Trevor Lawrence being able to take a step forward - why is it not possible for Goff to do the same, in year 2 in this system? I'm not expecting him to be Rodgers or Mahomes, but with a good OL, & decent running game, and perhaps most importantly a coaching staff that builds him up, I think he could take a big step forward.1 point

And trading for Montas? You're probably going to have to (at least) give up one of your other starters (ie. Manning) in order to get him. Makes no sense at all.1 point

They are a great band that made some tremendous music. The only thing that stopped them from being bigger were the peculiar personalities of both Robinson brothers.1 point

The Tigers are playing possum. A 13-24 start fools the rest of the division into thinking the Tigers are sleeping or dead. Soon they will come roaring back to life …1 point

All of those syndicated shows are voice-tracked. A lot of the satellite radio stuff is voice-tracked as well. There are some live shows (I think Alan Hunter is live as well as the woman who broadcasts from the RnR Hall of Fame) For the Black Crowes: they are a phenomenal band. So many great influences. I'll post a link to their most popular song and then some of the stuff that really cemented me in as a huge fan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYyRLTveFJQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-ooCI3yXhU&list=PLq3tMCadmukcDIiWevaz_agVuEroKHq6V1 point

The PA Republican senate primary is going to come down to mail in ballots counted through the night and into the next day. The very same ballots Republicans said shouldn't have been counted in 2020. I expect Giuliani to make an appearance near another sex shop.1 point

Admittedly, I don't know all the exact details of the bill, but I am fairly sure that there was no wording in the bill that specifically permitted third trimester abortions. My understanding is that it lifted the restrictions of current state laws that prohibited abortions at 6 weeks, etc, required ultrasounds, waiting periods, things like that. Again, virtually no one is in favor of third trimester abortions without the usual caveats. It's about going back to the previous status quo of Roe vs. Wade before fake Christians took over. Oblong is right. The rhetoric just keeps getting more extreme. Not even in favor of saving the mother's life, not in favor of exceptions for rape or incest, wanting to *save* ectopic pregnancies. Not interested in life at all.1 point

The Democrats could out with a full abortion ban and Republicans would vote against it.1 point

They are alternating picks and Sam's sidekick had the Pistons. He took Murray. Sam said he would swing for the fences here and go with Sharpe. His reasoning, he thinks Cade is going to be lights out next year and probably play Detroit out of getting another top pick. This might be their last shot at getting elite talent at the top of the draft.1 point

Hahahahahahahaha a bipartisan abortion bill passing? Lmfao That's quality material1 point

No it wouldn’t. The GOP would still not be satisfied. They are barely going along with any exceptions for “life” of the mother, if at all, let alone health of the mother . They think health is too broad of a term. You know…, life is risky. Don’t want to take a risk? Don’t have sex. Don’t fight God’s will. That’s what they really think.1 point

I could easily see Sacramento taking Murray. They're guard heavy so I'd be surprised if they took Ivey (who is basically a poor man's Fox) or Sharpe but maybe I'm wrong. The Kings are the type of franchise that I could see reaching for somebody like Duren.1 point
-
Things are likely to change a lot between now and the draft. But you can probably count on 2 of these 3 being there at #5: Sharpe Mathurin Ivey Possibly all three but that seems a bit unlikely. As long as they don't blow it and take Murray things should be fine.1 point

I find it much more likely that grant is traded than not. Portland makes so much sense. They didn’t move up, dame wants grant and the blazers need to keep dame happy. Doesn’t seem like a stretch that the pistons have the 5th and 7th pick.1 point

I do like Sacramento picking before us. Get that bust off the board before we pick...1 point

The agave tequila bottle cap made another appearance last night. This season we’ve seen Kim go back to retrieve it when cleaning out her office after quitting her job, it was lying on the street in that opening scene flash forward to Saul’s abandoned house, and last night when the liquor store cashier made a comment on how sharp the ends were on it. Very interested to see the role this random object plays in the rest of the story.1 point
