In celebration of Bo Jackson's awesomeness, the greatest play ever on a real football field4 points

Most folks who heavily support 2A are unlike to support more funding for mental health issues. Much like those who are purportedly pro life are unlikely to support additional help for child care.3 points

if williams were playing today he would likely be bigger and stronger and able to take advantage of all the advances that help today's hitters. he was a physical freak for his time with eyesight and reflexes so good he was a master fighter pilot tabbed to fight in TWO wars.3 points

I didn't get to watch much, did they show more evidence of Antifa?3 points

True, after a bit more consideration you could compare Bannon to Gordon Liddy2 points

Also the last 30 games Javy has a slash line of .261/.288/.513 which puts him just over that .800 OPS mark which given how the season started isn't all that bad and during that time has a wRC+ of 122. Yes his approach can be not the best but he has been quite valuable lately.2 points

To me when you judge players of any sport all you can do is judge how they did relative to their peers anything else is pure speculation.2 points

Speaking of Kinzinger, hell of a finishing statement. Same for Luria.2 points

If this had succeeded… That must remain in the forefront of all responses to this. Trump regaining power means the end of this nation. He must be held accountable.2 points

We all talk about his bad trades, drafts, signings etc. but not selling high on Boyd and Fulmer when he had the chance was a somewhat under the radar blunder that doesn't get talked about enough. We flat out admitted that we were in full rebuild and several years a way from contention so when you're that far a way there is zero reason to keep 2 starting pitchers with injury histories. The likelihood they would still be good when we were competing was extremely small so why not trade them for younger guys that match up better with your competitive timeline?2 points

I am not going to rip on the guy because he's trying his best. He sounds a little forced, but when you hear someone else do Tigers Play-By-Play it makes you realize just how freaking good Dan Dickerson really is. Doug Fister on color commentary.............they've had better.2 points

And then warned Hank about it so Hank would do the killing and save him the war. A lot of people online seem to think that Kim somehow sent Jeff the Cab Driver to find Saul. I think we'll find out Kim has joined NXIVM and somehow Gene finds out and saves her.1 point

BYU, Clemson, and SC on the schedule makes it brutal. BC and UNC are wins but not total pushovers. Not the ideal schedule for a team without an established QB and lots of inexperienced talent on both sides of the ball.1 point

I use them for small impulse purchases. Like today I noticed I was down to one bar of soap. I added a 12 pack to my cart. I also wanted som u shaped spikes to help secure an outdoor screen. Added that too. I have a stack of $25 credits from my employers health plan for being active so I paid $3 and they will come tomorrow. I’ve used them to buy teabags. My wife yells at me for it. But she will not get the right kind and I got a box of 500 of the English breakfast kind. She gets the shitty flavored ones. I’m home all day in the cold basement working so I go through 3 a day.1 point

The 1999 All Star Game when he was brought onto the field in a golf cart, and all the players surrounding him like they were little kids. That was also when Ted asked McGwire whether he could smell the smoke coming off the bat after a particularly good hit. Nice moment.1 point

12 hours on, I still think the outtakes video where he couldn't say "yesterday" really sticks with me the most. It has nothing to with cognition and everything to do with making the statement as ambiguous as possible. Which is disgusting.1 point

and I think this is happening in a less formal way across the country at the local levels. The deranged lunatics have nothing else to do so they are running for local boards and councils.1 point

Which also means he wasn't a full-time hitter until 1919, at the age of 24. So from 19-23, when he was in MLB, limited PA's... almost as if he lost the equivalent of 3-4 years, although he was obviously very young at the time... and the ball may very well have been a whole lot "deader" at the time anyways... still.1 point

Just to clarify, I have zero concern about Miggy squeezing someone out of a roster spot. I simply don't want to see him or anybody at DH whose only skill is hitting soft singles the other way. If he was a young player who excelled at running the bases and fielding a position, and could leg out doubles, stolen bases and what-not, that would be something. The last time he added value to the team was 2016. He played out the string and hit his milestones. If they have the kind of roster where he's coming off the bench that's OK, but everyday at DH in the heart of the order is just a sign that the FO is failing at their basic job.1 point

It's either Williams or Ruth. Williams edges him statistically, but it's hard for me to get away from the idea that Ruth completely transformed the game. Ruth is number one overall because he was also a very good pitcher.1 point

man, matt boyd wasnt that good. we totally should have traded him while we had the chance. but avila didnt. because he is bad at his job.1 point

Will say this for Fister... not charismatic or polished in the booth, but he's as sharp as Avila Jr. in terms of knowing the game.1 point

We used to laugh about this years ago, the guy who plays center has to lead off and be a base-stealer.1 point

I’ve always believed Miggy’s contract had a lot to do with Verlander being squeezed out. That in addition to that disastrous VMart contract. Hated it then and I hate it now.1 point

A guy on a movie group I am a part of compared BCS and BB to godfather I and II. “Breaking Bad is like The Godfather and Better Call Saul is like The Godfather Part 2. The original is more universal, more digestible. Can attract a bigger audience with more mass appeal. The sequel is deeper, darker, and somehow better than the original. All this to say, what a remarkable accomplishment Better Call Saul is.”1 point
