  1. So, let me see if I get this straight. The Tigers can actually win a game in which Rogers hits a HR. But two pitchers need to be sacrificed in the process? I don't know if that's a worthwhile long term strategy.

  6. “Our data suggests”. Science is not a static thing. I seriously think that there was no intent to mis-characterize what was happening with the virus. What would be the purpose of that???? The data AT THAT TIME … suggested…that vaccinated people didn’t carry the virus. But the message always was that you had a much better chance at NOT ending up in a life-ending situation in a hospital intubated with diminished hope of ever leaving that room. I’m not understanding why we are looking to demonize and criminalize scientists. I honestly don’t understand this.

  11. Yet again it looks like they've unjustly excluded @buddha from entering into the competition. Surprised the footage of security dragging him out didn't make the cut for this video. 😉

  13. It is 3:28 PM. It's been, what, 19 whole hours without a Tigers pitcher getting injured. A new record?

  16. It blows my mind how many fans are perfect OK giving Johnson $30M a year. If the cap does come in at $136M next year his max contract would be $34M per year. Cam Johnson should never, and I mean never, be approaching max contract territory. $18M is his ceiling IMO.

  18. Either way, it's bad asset management. The RFA market is a losing game. You either pay way more than value so the other team won't match, or you still pay way more than value and ALSO give up trade assets. And we're talking about an injury prone role player here, not an All-Star or even a borderline All-Star. Go out and sign someone like Barnes to a reasonable contract instead with team option in the last year. He'll give you 90% of what Cam gives you for 60% of the cost, plus a vet presence, and a tradeable contract down the line while you develop the youth. You'll have enough cap for a second signing and you can still use your other assets in a trade to bring in a third player, a future pick, or both.

  20. Tigers went 15 years between Gold Glove winners, Pettis in 1989 and Pudge in 2004. Tigers have only won one since 2009.... Ian Kinsler won in 2016.

  24. I'll gladly take something for Cisnero. Maybe the return is Olson. Maybe the return is Maton. If they don't trade Cisnero, the return is nothing, except maybe Cisnero next season.

  32. He's such a moron he doesn't even understand that DOD draws up and games out every kind of possible war scenario - it's their job to have thought out every scenario. He's looking at a contingency planning doc and comming to the conclusion that the DOD want's to start a war. How do people manage to miss the monumental stupidity of the man?

  34. I don't know. The whole whole self pity schtick doesn't play with me. I have heard it for too long with the Tigers. Staying healthy is skill. Boyd pitched a total of 150 innings the last three years. I don't blame the Tigers for signing him but I am not going to buy into a pity party they throw for themselves either (or that Monroe and Shep throw for them).

  37. Enough of Hinch with this Lefty/Righty bullspit. Give me someone that can create a spark PARKER MEADOWS HITS LEFTIES BETTER THAN HE HITS RIGHTIES AND HE'S AN OUTFIELDER WHICH IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OF NOW !!!!!!!!!!! HE'S ALREADY ON THE 40 MAN AND HE'S BEEN HITTING IN JUNE. Schoop, Ibanez, McKinstry, Short and even Vierling can play 3B better than Maton did.
