Just what exact calamity would befall the universe if Zach Short, our regular normal utility SS, actually just started a game in place of our missing regular shortstop? Would Polaris suddenly careen into Andromeda or what? We just *have* to have some retread waiver waif instead? Harris, and maybe Hinch as well, is trying to prove himself too cute by half and it's getting outright stupid.

How can they have spent the whole season not knowing Vierling is their best 3b and it's not even close? And TBH, his bat is pretty marginal for the OF unless he is in center, and that isn't going to happen with Riley here and Parker Meadows likely on the way. So he's more valuable at 3B anyway.

I got a few that need converted. I grilled one. Sliced it up, a little olive oil, cumin, minced garlic, seasoned salt,.... A little too much salt, but otherwise not bad.

Rico Hines runs are pretty famous. He holds them at UCLA and it attracts all the NBA guys in LA for the summer, which is essentially the entire league.

I’m hoping it holds through 2035. His age 35+ years are probably too much to hope for.

It would be nice if held it through the end of the season.

It would also be nice if he held it through the Tigers weekend visit to Chicago in early September lol

The next step for Tork is making contact outside of the at-bats where he hits homers. Too much feast or famine.

Tork now with 20, has a chance to become our first 30 HR hitter since Cabrera way back in 2016.

They’re also very good tin a frittata. If you slice them super thin, and pan fry them in EVOO, (I like them to look almost burnt 😁), then use them w/grated cheese in your egg base. Makes a great sandwich in a good Italian bread.

I put a bit more stock in Fangraphs than in Pipeline. FG seems to be based on tools and performance, with exhaustive descriptions of each, while Pipeline seems more topline overview with perhaps some influence by narrative.

I read an article I think in the News where Santana manager was quoted as saying Santana's bad start was because he tried too hard to "control the strike zone" and forgot to swing the bat. This explains his always high OBP but really low batting average. I think the difference was like 220 points !

I totally don't understand this whole thing so I may be missing something but why are they doing it in the middle of November like right after the regular season starts? It seems like something you would do later on in the season when people maybe kinda losing interest in the regular season like say late February or so.

Kinda the point I was trying to make. Wasn't trying to dig at anybody, but I do know that shouting from the rooftops about politics in this era really doesn't change minds and just makes people go away. This thread, in particular, has a lot of tweets from accounts I've muted or blocked because I don't think they advance the discourse (Rupar, Flipowski, etc.). I can just check Newspaper websites to get caught up on things and not be fired up or feel the need to pontificate on social media.

This deserves a mid-level award for comedic achievement in a comedic well nearly run dry.
