Building for a playpoff team is the same thing as building for a championshio team. A good organization can build and try to win at the same time. They can't just look to the future forever.4 points

Tucker is a man who had big ambitions who realizes that the cynical choices he has made to get ahead have already foreclosed any possibility that his future can be brighter than his past. What he has left is resentment against a world that has wronged him and the resulting sociopathy. A perfectly formed pilot fish for swimming in the wake of a Donald Trump.2 points

Personally I think Tesla is a bit underrated. The Great Radio Controversy? Love Song? 5 Man Acoustical Jam? Cmon now. That's good stuff.2 points

Tigers with 7 top 100 prospects on BA list: Jobe, Clark, McGonigle, Jung, Liranzo, Rainier, and Hamm. Five of these are Harris guys. Add in Lee and that's 6 really talented guys Harris has added to the system in fewer than two years. If Briceno had been healthy he may have edged onto the BA list. Encouraging.2 points

Tucker Carlson is purposefully evil. His “just asking” nonsense needs to be called out for what it is. Evil. Purposely.1 point

I still think they might vote for Trump because they hope he's being deceitful on their behalf.1 point

I don't think they will vote blue but this could de-motivate a lot them from voting.1 point

I went to a game there about 10 years ago. It is a nice ballpark, I had good views from left/center field, upper deck. Not a large crowd for a weeknight game against the Brewers. This was my view, my wife was at an event in the in the building behind the billboards. We signaled each other with our phones.1 point

I've been outside of Petco field. Last year we went to SD for vacation and went downtown one night for dinner. They have a "Gaslamp" district with cool restaurants and shops. There was a concert going on and they had streets blocked off for the trucks so I couldn't get too close. San Diego was perfect. Everything was 20 minutes away.1 point

Interestingly the Orioles had losing records in July and August.1 point

That place looks gorgeous. Up there with Pittsburgh? I'm a sucker for incorporating history with a ballpark. The metal supply company building as the left field foul line. The warehouse in Baltimore. The rooftop bleachers outside of Wrigley (way to kill that charm). I kind of wish Detroit would bring the flagpole back into play as it had been before the fences were moved and as it was at Tiger Stadium, but I acknowledge that additional outfield obstacles are the last thing Riley Greene needs1 point

When I started to playfully type, “we are unleashing Montero on the Padres tonight,” my iPhone autocorrected it to “monsters.“ This is one of those times where I hope the soulless object I hold in my hand is correct. I hope they play in a way that makes up for that first loss in the series.1 point

Tigers have six games remaining to be played with the Orioles. fyi1 point

No wonder he wanted out of Detroit so bad... Sorry... it was too easy... I couldn't let it go.1 point

they need to go 12-11 in their remaining games to not break the mets' record for 120 losses in a season. theyre more likely to lose 130 games. this has been the best white sox season i can remember in a very long time.1 point

They need to pay Juan Soto. He’s the best fit for this club—same age range and Cabrera-esque. Of course it will require us to outbid everyone, except maybe the White Sox.1 point

I don’t think Harris and Hinch and the front office and the coaches fall in or out of love with any player. I don’t think it’s emotional at all. I think they have a plan and a process and are following through with it, making adjustments as necessary as conditions on the ground warrant. Getting emotional and falling in and out of love with players is what fans do.1 point

I heard they are also giving the shooter the key to the city at a parade next week.1 point

I caught it in 82...my dad was a Dr so I just stayed home. He said my lab work was so bad I probably should have been in the hospital...but he figured he and my mom could keep an eye on me. I was so out of it that the drive home from the lab that did my blood and urine samples took an hour and a half instead of 30 minutes because I kept getting lost in the city I grew up in0 points
