  1. trump has someone new writing for him. You can tell because: a) this is too long to be a normal Trump post b) the vocabulary is several steps above the normal Trump post c) it's too logical to be a normal Trump post. d) and the slam dunk: there is actual concern expressed for people other than Trump.

  3. he needs to keep confidence that he can reach the seats to right because he is seeing a lot of outside pitching and just going to right gives him better odds than trying to turn around an outside pitch.

  7. I think he is successful because he drafts players he thinks are good. I also think having more picks in a round but not being able to draft the guys you like because those picks are later in the round than you can get that player is not very useful. If you only have a couple of guys you actually like but are 30 picks away then that pick is likely to be wasted. And in next year's 3rd round who knows if they will have someone they like as much as TeSlaa. What they do know is that they liked TeSlaa and he was available, so they went and got him. I respect the strategy as long as the guys making the picks are actually good at identifying talent.

  8. Holmes looks throughout the draft and if he has conviction on a olayers he goes and gets him. That’s what makes him successful, not playing games with value. He’s not going to hit on every player, that’s not reasonable.

  9. Are we really questioning Holmes with the draft? A 15-2 team just scored two players who will likely start for this team. I’m good

  14. So that chopper to Torkelson where he threw the runner out at home rather than take the out at second allowing the runner to score….. that kind of loomed large, eh?

  15. Can you believe that Will Vest went to Seattle as a Rule 5 pick and they sent him back?? It helps to have a new front office and coaching staff that knows what he is and what to do with him.

  22. Lions have five picks remaining at 6.182, 6.196, 7.228, 7.230, and 7.244. I don't see five roster holes remaining for 6th round talents. They may try to package three of those to move back into the 5th round. Bradyn Swinson, Jack Sawyer, Fadil Diggs, and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins have the upside to compete with Davenport et al. for the starting edge role... I like Cam Skattebo as a potential Craig Reynolds replacement... Marcus Mbow is still there if they want to double dip on the offensive line... And I'm sure there are some guys they love who I have never heard of.

  24. So there's this everyday guy in Australia who's first name and twitter handle is just Shadeur, anyway a couple high profile twitter accounts accidentally tagged it while typing out Sanders name so now there are 100s of thousands of replies and reposts mistakingly directed at that guy. Poor guy is gonna log into his account and wonder what the hell is going on.

  30. Even if it is/was an even trade based off the value charts I still don't agree with risking that kinda capital for essentially a high ceiling project. To me that type of return is for somebody like a Brian Branch type of player who inexplicably dropped in the draft.

  36. ESPN.com Pre-Draft Analysis Ratledge started 37 games at right guard, and his workout at the combine was impressive. He fires off the ball, knocks defenders back and stays connected in the run game. Ratledge keeps his base intact and covers linebackers when he releases to the second level. He's quick with the range to excel in zone-heavy schemes with improved footwork. Defenders can get into his frame initially, but he tends to work his big hands back inside and latches on as a pass blocker. He moves his feet, and he is tough to beat once he's in position. Ratledge packs a powerful punch and keeps his head on a swivel to work against stunts from the defensive line. -- Steve Muench Post-Draft Analysis If you asked before the draft what an ideal pick would be for Detroit in Round 2, this would have been the answer. Ratledge is an easy-moving right guard with big-time power on the point of impact in the run game. He also has the recovery agility to hold up in pass protection. The Lions need a right guard after Kevin Zeitler departed to the Titans in free agency, and they landed a battle-tested SEC starter. Ratledge will certainly see the field as a rookie with his impressive toughness and experience. -- Miller

  38. I was surprised when AJ was not voted Manager of the Year in 2024. In my mind, he was a shoe-in (come 'on, winning with a .2 playoff odds, pitching anarchy, building a staff with discards, brilliant platoons) but he didn't receive a vote, if I recall. Wonder if the writers (or whoever votes) were punishing him for the Houston years.

  42. We had fun at the game. It was worth the $350 I spent overall. My son isn’t into baseball like I am and this game has the adrenaline rush. Sure they lost but we had a good time. Ben Stiller and Timothy Chalamet were sitting underneath us. Not close mind you. We were in the upper bowl they were in the first row behind the hockey boards. But people kept stopping for selfies. that might have been the most energetic game in that buildings history.
