  1. You’re such a rabble rouser Lee. We all know that about you. For the last 20 years. 🙂

  2. Oh my goodness…. Your answers are nasty as all hell, and then you accuse others of picking a fight. I don’t think you can have it both ways. *shrugs*

  3. The ultimate call for shooting at that boat falls to the Commander in Chief, Donald J. Trump. A person who is perhaps the most profligate liar in American life today. Again, forgive me for not taking anything coming from this administration at face value. Given how often they lie, nobody owes them their trust.

  4. These guys aren't exactly dominating in AA, yet they are supposed to come up and be better than All Star performers? These guys aren't ready for mlb. Give them a chance to develop in AA for God's sake.

  7. Pass rushers demand big money because they put up big stats. But I don’t think this organization values that the way the media and many fans do. They want their edges to be more like a healthy Josh Paschal. Solid first and foremost against the run. If you have an iron wall against the run, and you can routinely force 2nd and 3rd and long downs, you don’t need a splash edge rusher — certainly not two. Very few offenses are going to convert three 3rd and longs in one drive. Z was a good band aid for the occasional pass rush role last year. But that role is worth less than half of the $9MM the Eagles just forked over.

  8. Ultimately, I think you have to name it what it is, which is worship of the culture of death. It's the idea that if you kill enough other people your problems go away. It's basically the same logic whether it comes from Putin, Netanyahu, Isis, Hamas, Trump, or an MTF poster. It's the same kool-aid. It's the 21st century cool-kids philosophy. Anyone that hews to that old "I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly" stuff? Losers.

  9. I wasn't suggesting that you were still in active duty. I said "your" to show that I don't respect the president enough to consider him my president. I have always had great respect for those that serve in the military. My father fought in the frontlines in World WAR II. No matter what I do in life I will never equal that. I have generally assumed that out miltary would honor the constitution and protect us from a rogue President, but I can no longer do that. Your president attempted a coup against the United States and is now attempting to turn us into a fascist autocracy while ****ting on the constitution on a daily basis. I am sorry, but I can't respect that and I can no longer assume that the military will protect us from that.

  10. right. If Jim Mattis were DoD then I'd assume they acted on solid intelligence. But we have a drunk TV boy in charge of the military now so who the **** knows what went on.

  11. The thing I keep going back to is that the latest reporting is that they have still not briefed with Congressional leaders and, as of last night, still were scrambling to come up with a legal rationale for what they did. I don't know if they were carrying drugs or not, but as of right now, they have provided no answers to the our representatives (ie. Congress) as to why they did this or what authority they were acting under while pursuing this. As someone concerned about government overreach or a runaway executive branch that is unaccountable to the people, forgive me for not seal-clapping this stupidity

  13. So basically one of two things happened. 1) These guys took Ballmer for $50 million. They immediately turned around and gave $48 million of that money to Ballmer's star basketball player. Con men are usually pretty generous and giving, so that could be. or 2) Ballmer paid these guys a $2 million fee to funnel $48 million to his basketball player to circumvent the salary cap. Steve Ballmer denies allegations of Kawhi Leonard, Clippers circumventing salary cap

  16. Stolen from Reddit regarding Trump and his supporters: "Gonna share you a secret: they don't listen to him. They don't have to. All they want is to consume "information" that tells them all is well, and the world makes sense, and everything is running how it should. If they have that, they don't need to engage their minds enough to reflect that how they are informed is not very direct or clear or in line with anything anyone else is saying. A society will fall thanks to the need of idiots to have simple answers."

  28. Look, GG is straight up telling you that he does not care about non-Americans, including if they live or die. And if they do die, he doesn't care if they were murdered by American soldiers. Further, his assertion is that the majority of Trump voters feel the same. I for one believe him about all of it.

  29. I agree... I just think it's also a immature thing to do. Spitting in general as some sort of dominance display is stupid. I also expect Parsons to make a comment about it. Something like: "Trying to get your opponent ejected is for the weak, it shows you can't beat them straight up."

  32. Celebrating is one thing...doing it in the face of an opposing player is another. On that taunting call against the Philly player who made the tackle..I dont think him flexing was the issue..the issue was he walked towards the downed player and flexed at/over him. Had he put his back to the play and did the same thing while walking away, it probably isnt going to be called

  38. For the season McGonigle has as many PA at AA as at A by now, and his BA/OPS is down 130/220 pts on the transition to AA. He's finding some challenges to overcome that he wasn't at A ball. Hype train can maybe take a bit of a breather.

  44. I agree. If you want to honor a player who has retired, just have a day for him. The Tigers signed Al Cicotte to a six-day contract in 1977 long after he retired, so he could qualify for a pension. He was in poor health and was having financial problems. In that case, it was a nice gesture.
