  1. I’m going to guess that as I explore up & down the various highways in the northern confines of my new home base in Delaware.. frantically searching for elusive Italian delicatessen that can create my favorite sandwich (eggplant, mozzarella & broccoli rabe w/balsamic glaze), this could be suspicious activity?? What will they think when I have to make the extraordinary decision to cross over state lines & waterways of Philadelphia to extend my search area? I will, perhaps at moments, break into weird sounding foreign dialects….. both uttered when I am failing to get my search specifications understood, AND when I make a breakthrough and get the exact coordinates of my final destination. There will be furtive, suspicious behavior as I look to smuggle stated delicacy back to the First State. After all, my family motto often uttered by the Neopolitans and Sicilians on my father’s side - “ Que mangia ne morte”, which is of course a lie, but anything you’re saying in Italian sounds wise. Even when it’s nonsensical and could get me escorted into an ice truck for my suspicious behavior, coupled with my insistence for speaking non -American. But sometimes you just gotta have that eggplant mozzella and broccoli rabe sandwich. You just gotta.

  3. Not finishing in top 5 for Cy Young would probably not concern me much. If he is in 6-10 range as Brian suggested, it would still be a very good season. It would depend on the reason for the drop off though. If there is a velocity drop or anything like that, it would be concerning. If it's just a higher ERA, then it shouldn't affect any decisons about trying to sign him long-term.

  4. Can you imagine the shameless gaul of a prick who destroyed the civil service protections that have been in existence for generations, participates in the destruction of a system that funded scientific research proven to save millions of lives and perhaps countless untold millions in the future, destroys carefully nurtured careers for hundreds of thousands with untold follow-on effects for families, communities and then cries to the press about being in political danger from having done that? God speed Big Balls.

  5. This is as close to a walk-off homer as you’re going to see in football. I acknowledge that field goals and touchdowns, i.e., scoring to win games, is in that way more akin to homering to win games. But those are usually resolutions to developing situations. A walk-off sack, like a walk-off homer, is rather a relatively unexpected event, something that ends that game in the sort of exhilarating, out of the blue manner that a field goal lacks. In that vein, a walk-off pick six is more like a walk-off sack than a walk-off field goal.

  6. It's all relative. You can probably see more on a galaxy Z-fold than on this guy - which is what I watched my 1st Tiger games on.....👀

  7. Rumor had it that the Lions were losing big, their season was ending, the Super Bowl window had closed. But this board stayed chill and confident and kept the faith and urged the boys to just try the best they can and we would be proud of them no matter what. The positive vibes from our rhythmic applause must have made their way over to Ford Field because the Lions players who clearly don’t care clearly started caring again and won by a full touchdown. Then we lit candles in gratitude. Addition: And oh yeah, then Kay Adams blew kisses at us.

  8. JB looks looks like he's comfortable doing more mixing and matching instead of playing fixed rotations, which is as it should be since every team you play presents different match-up issues.

  11. I have it on good authority that Harris follows the advice on this forum. I will blame you when Skubal leaves for a comp draft pick that turns out to be Christian Stewart's lesser athletic cousin

  12. That makes sense. Assuming a long-term work stoppage or more properly a lockout in 2027, this ends up making Skubal one year older, less sharp, and a year removed from being baseball’s “top model” while also operating under a new set of rules less advantageous for players.

  13. It is expected that Frazier will be activated as he was full practice all last week. I'd be surprised if he plays on Thanksgiving over Awosike, but after what we've seen from Awosike last year and this, I like to think Frazier would be an upgrade. Davenport was LP/LP/FP and Paschal was LP/LP/LP. Don't know what this means for their availability on Thursday, but I'm assuming Davenport will play. Dorsey should probably be available. Reed got limited snaps yesterday but Liao says he was in during OT which indicates that limiting his snaps was part of the plan and he should be ready for more of a role against GB. Really need TA back. Despite the calls that go against him, the pass defense has not been good without him.

  14. It was primarily Awosika that was the issue. He gave up 2 of the 3 sacks and a number of quick pressures. Hopefully Frazier is getting ready until Mahogany comes back.

  16. the big concerns for skubal are regression and the upcoming cba. it could alter the terms to make long term big contracts much harder to get. its possible boras knows what is being discussed on the cba front and he actually decides it would be better to let skubal sign now than risk free agency in a new cba world. interesting times, indeed.

  18. Eddie Murray's miss against SF in '83 was a 42 yarder and Lee Norwood's for the Bills in the Super Bowl in '91 was a 47 yarder. Both should have been made but it wasn't surprising that they were missed. Now 42-47 yard field goals are chip shots like what a 30 yarder used to seem like.

  19. As soon as the game ends, Fox puts a yellow Final on the screen beneath the score, using the same colour as penalty. I learned my brain registers colors before letters by a split second because my heart skipped. I was very briefly worried we were about to learn that Hutch had facemasked or something.

  24. At least after a walk off homer you don’t have to quickly scan all four umpires to make sure one of them didn’t call it a foul ball off his foot though.

  29. Like most people my age, 50's, we're dealing with parents who refused to get rid of "stuff" and we are left to deal with it. My mother in law's garage and back room is a hoarder situation. This is giving me PTSD. "We can still sell that...." I told her I'd write her a check for $1000 if I can throw everything away.

  30. Can we talk about how Kafka likely handed the game away going for it on 4th and goal up 3 with a tick under 3 minutes to go? Not saying that Gibbs couldn’t have hit his HR in the 4th if they needed a TD instead of a FG, but at that time the Giants D was playing well enough to kick there.

  32. the GOP could have, but you know they wouldn't have. So what? If the Trump admin had another billion to spend the only people that would have benefited were more of his cronies - you know it as well as I do. And what could help those vets are all the VA, drug treatment and social services Trump and the GOP have been cutting and trying to cut, So my blood isn't boiling over the scam in MN at all, at least not compared to how much it already boils over the much, much bigger scam in DC.

  33. Yea, I'm with you all the way. Another, with the RV stuff, or maybe a camper, around here anyway (no lake but maybe a pond), is the campgrounds. Some are really nice. But you still have the upkeep, weeds, mowing, ect. The campgrounds do have a lot to offer, you don't get too far off the grid, even a store. I had a buddy who I've known forever who sold his house and bought a kick as motorhome and spent the winters in Arizona, and the summers here (NW Ohio). Towed his car and paid rent at two different campgrounds. Worked for them. That's choices people make and there is nothing wrong with that.
