Perhaps the big difference is we want people who commit serious felonies to be jailed whether they're migrants or not, and MAGA wants (certain) immigrants to be jailed and deported whether they've committed felonies or not.2 points

MAGA doesn't seem to understand that Democrats also want undocumented migrants who commit serious felonies jailed and deported. But when that ignorant Orange Cheeto talks about "Joe Biden allowing illegals to come pouring into our country?" He's gaslighting his base. Joe Biden had a bipartisan group draw up a very good border bill that Trump had his MAGA base vote down because Donny Boy wanted to use immigration as a campaign issue. People seem to forget that fact. This entire immigration problem is 100% the fault of Donald J. Trump2 points

One of the things I love about soccer broadcasts is that there are no commercial breaks during each entire half, and very few other on-screen ads or mentions. By contrast, the more frequent commercial interruptions during baseball games, including RSN crawls, bumpers, billboards, drop-ins, play sponsorships, betting odds, and between-batter commercials, has made our favorite sport that much less pleasant a viewing experience. You really notice it whenever you view a game from 50 or 40 or even 25 years ago on YouTube.2 points

Ice wouldn't need masks if they conducted themselves like other agencies. It's clear they are Trump's hired thugs. It's not about illegal immigrants. It's about ending democracy and putting a crown on Trump's head. Then his toupee won't fly off.2 points

It is INSANE that the President of the United States regularly posting demonstrably false information on social media has become completely normalized.2 points

That really sucks because NAW would fix, at least in part, a lot of our current deficiencies (range, secondary ball-handling, plays "D" unlike LeVert...).1 point

Desperately looking for growth but doesn't realize how important stability is for growth. A Weaker Dollar Has Always Been Part of Trump’s Plan A lower exchange rate is one more lever for the U.S. to boost growth, but it chips away at America’s traditional role as a safe haven1 point

And the problem this administration has and was always going to have is the ones that need to be jailed or deported have lots of practice evading law enforcement.1 point

Montgomery may want to go elsewhere though an be an RB1. We are fortunate and spoiled to have two good RBs here in Detroit. On some rosters, Monty would clearly be their RB1. So he may just want to leave and go get RB1 money. Given his age at 28 and the short shelf life of RBs, this is likely is last opportunity at getting starting money in a contract.1 point

I worked in a bowling alley back when Earl was king of bowling. The guy was a fricken machine. He had 25 300 games and this was back when the lanes were not as easy as they are now. Incredible. But I was curious. From his Wiki page; Dude had game in multiple sports.1 point

Mostly agree. 1 needs to be even more specific and demand a stop to ALL ICE/CBP takeover of cities, including Minneapolis. No ifs, ands or buts. 5 is to me especially important. I really think it needs to be put higher on the list. Incidentally, Homan is referring to Minneapolis as 'theater.' Isn't that a term used for war?1 point

It confuses me why some Pistons fans want DeRozen. Team lacks shooting, so let's bring in a guy that doesn't shoot the three? On top of that, Cade is great in the mid-range. So let's bring in another mid-range guy to crowd that space for Cade? It doesn't make much sense to me.1 point

this is the current NBA system; has happened a few times, where a team has payroll lower than floor, and the players all got one share of the delta as a bonus1 point

Hanover County, VA supervisors have basically rejected a proposal to build an ICE Facility. Asking The FEDS to reconsider. Sadly, we do have our racists and Nazis here. We're barely a generation away from the race riots that happened in response to bussing kids, after all. And remember the picture of the SB guy who threatened a Black man with an American flag? That man is still alive and still living in Massachusetts.1 point

Fair enough. The only possible cover they could have claimed is that Trump did not actually engage in this murderous activity during the first term. Now he has, everyone can see he had, and anyone who still supports him supports the citizen murder that has been documented during this term. There is no cover, no way around it, any more. Either you support discretionary citizen murder by your government for any reason it chooses, or you abandon Trump. There is no longer any middle ground to stand on.1 point

From an engineering POV, the practical question is whether the cost of the minimal ICE plus a battery with a 30 mile range for a plug-in hybrid is going to settle out at more or less than the cost differential to a 300mi battery that can fast charge regularly without being killed. From an environmental standpoint, plug-in hybrids can take ~90% of the CO2 burden out of the automotive transportation sector because ~90% of your trips are short. The small ICE probably also weighs less than the step up to a 80-100KWhr battery so could make for an overall more efficient vehicle. Bottom line - it all depends on battery tech, and where the endpoint for that will turn out to be is still anybody's guess.1 point

I won't blame him for enabling fascist authoritarianism in America—it took millions and machinery to get us to that point—but I will blame anyone to the degree that they approve the public murders of people by shadowy militia figures employed by the government for doing nothing more than nothing wrong.1 point

I remember the Free Press running a picture Cowens and Farmer standing at home plate st Tiger Stadium shaking hands, in a show of burying the hatchet I guess, and they looked for all the world like they still wanted to kill each other.1 point

It’s about how in 1972 when the team was slumping terribly Billy Martin just threw the names of all the starters into a hat and randomly drew them out and batted Norm cash in leadoff and Ed Brinkman in cleanup and it worked.1 point

Schwartz was the perfect hire for where the Lions were when they hired him. He had the F-You attitude they needed and he did a great job of getting them to the playoffs in his 3rd year, but that was really his limit. Yep, he kinda got screwed here. I mean, Todd Monken? Really? Maybe this is a good thing Jimmy, do you really want to be the next victims The Browns..........always Browning. Always. Mike McCarthy, Jesse Minter - if you don't have a DC and you want someone motivated to destroy a division opponent - well, there's a guy available, sort of.1 point

I would agree that he belongs in the HOF. While I think there is plenty of evidence that Belichick would not have had the success that he did without Brady, he still did have the success and it's impossible to prove how much of that was or wasn't Brady... or how much of Brady's success was or wasn't Belichick. Plus, even if we say that Brady was the major driving force, Belichick was still the coach and GM who was acquiring the talent to put around Brady and making sure it all worked harmoniously. As you say: Ultimately the results are what matters and no coach has more SB rings than him. He belongs in the hall even if I might want to argue that he shouldn't be lauded as much as he is.1 point
