Arlington Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) Parker was drafted in 2018 and by the end of 2022 it seemed he never would hit. His OPS was in the low 600s. Then... The curse of Alfredo Simon (-.4 WAR with the Tigers). We could be overpaying for the player we overpaid with before, all to get of Alfredo Simon. Suarez had 25.9 WAR after the Tigers. Motor City Sonics Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) I mounted a desk fan on the wall just before the Seattle series. This is all my fault. I'll take it down today and we'll see what happens. Hey, just a note. With the recent bullpen woes, I just realized, and looked it up to confirm, that Bruce Rondon is only 34 years old. He's not that old. I know he's got an 5.06 ERA in the Venezuelan league this year, but those ballparks and that humidity - they're a hitters' paradise. You adjust for better MLB hitters and reasonable humidity and he's easily in the low 6's range here. I don't know, just spitballin' Second Chances make for great stories ! They sent him home during the 2015 season because he was pissing everyone off by not being engaged. He didn't get the message. They should have never brought him back. Does my memory serve me right here. One of his last games as a Tiger he threw at somebody and the team did not really back him up much. Like his teammates were saying "What the f are you doing?". The striking out 125 times number is a clue, which basically eliminates just about every team from before 2005. Quote

I know this was a joke but for those curious, the maximum it can be was $100k. It is likely between $50k and $100k, because 50 is the waiver price and this deal bypasses waivers. Quote
tiger2022 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I remember when the Tigers traded for Randy Wolf to finish out the season one year, they gave the Jay's $50k Quote
