  2. We were just in that area at the end of March and beginning of April. Alum Creek sounds familiar, but I don’t know if it’s from there or somewhere else. You’re certainly not hauling that sucker to either of the cabins we stayed at. We were between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, off of the main drag to the east about 1,000 feet higher than the main thoroughfare. Lovely scenery with the hills and all, but damn, I couldn’t drive that every day. Don’t feed the bears.

  4. Possibly but I believe the Tigers should keep him just cause I don't think they would get much in return anyway. I think there is a better chance Jeimer bounces back close to his 2020/2021 levels and helping the Tigers the next couple years than whatever C level prospect we get turning into anything.

  6. The fact that Herschel Walker is considered a "toss-up" is so beyond frightening and it's defeating. He is a liar, an exceptionally bad one - and he's profoundly stupid. I thought there couldn't be anyone dumber than Louie Gohmert Then Tommy Tuberville came along I thought there couldn't be anyone dumber than Tommy Tuberville Hello Herschel Walker. I can't even imagine what's next.

  11. In their defense, everyone had Casey Mize 1/1, so they can hide behind the cloak of conventional wisdom on this one. 🤷‍♂️

  14. Mize Faedo Tork all first rounders and two are 1-1 with doubtful futures including Mize before the injury and we ranked for two of them and Al still has his job ? Where in the world is that level of incompetence tolerated in a position of power. Besides the White House that is decade after decade.

  17. We used a pop-up for a long time and camped all around the state, made it down to WV once too. Then everything went to shit in the pop-up and it started to leak so we sold it. A couple weeks ago we rented an RV and had it delivered to a campsite right on the edge of the Porcupine mountains. That camper was super nice, I really liked it, but renting was pretty expensive relative to just even getting a cabin or something like that for lodging. I think our next destination will be down in the Smokeys... but don't sleep on the UP, it's really awesome. Just make sure you don't get stuck miles away from gas stations b/c there aren't many. Pictured Rocks rules.

  19. Honestly I feel like that is what he was alluding to. He clearly does not seem happy with the trade speculation so maybe he was using that as a way to voice his frustration as well.

  20. No on Gallo. We already have 6 Gallo's on our team... why would we want to add one more?

  21. and the funny part is, conventional wisdom is that it's whoever is in the White House that constantly jawbones the Fed to keep the pedal to the metal all the time for the sake of the next election. But the party in power has lost the White House in 2 out of 3 elections since ZIRP anyway.

  22. Of course it is. She was wrong place, wrong time. I don't know who was giving her advice but any American that didn't get out of Russia when Ukraine was starting to heat up wasn't getting good advice.

  23. And once again, you're making an assumption that Putin is just going to stop because an "agreement" was signed. Did you not read my prior post? Putin signed an agreement on grain... for both countries (allowing Ukraine to ship). And then just shit all over that agreement. He has no respect whatsoever for your "agreements". They mean NOTHING to him. I think you're being Pollyannish. And I'm not saying that to be mean... I believe that is the correct word. In that you are completely disregarding who Putin actually is because of your overwhelming desire for an agreement. You're thinking roses and Putin is thinking I WANT LAND. So... you are ALSO making an assumption that Putin even wants to sign that agreement because removing nukes is so appealing to him that he should give up his Czar Peter the Great delusions... Which I believe to be another false assumption. Before posting again on how badly you want this agreement, or how badly it is needed... Think about what Putin actually wants. Start from that point and see if you can get to an agreement. Because I don't think you can. Do you think Putin is going to give up one inch of Ukrainian land that he now controls, to go back to the pre-2022 controlled land? That answer is no. Unless he is forced to give up that land by losing on the battlefield. He is NOT going to give up that land for your nukes or an end to hostilities. He WANTS those hostilities and he WANTS Ukrainian land. All of it. Period. And I didn't even mention what Ukraine wants. Or what the rest of Europe wants, in the way of security... Do you want just the US to pull out its nukes? Or are you going to force France and the UK (also obviously a part of Europe and of NATO) to give up their own nukes as well?

  25. At least you dinged up your own vehicle. My one and only experience was a few years ago when we rented a 26 foot Class C from a local dealer. Got a bit close to a pump in Escanaba. Not only did I scrape the side I took the water spigot with it. Fortunately there was a repair place nearby. Basically I lost the cost of the initial repair plus the scrape covered the deposit cost. We've discussed getting an RV off and on for several years. After looking into cost, storage and upkeep. Not to mention a vehicle big enough to tow the darn thing I figured we'd be better off staying in hotel rooms. Our tent camping experiences on trips usually found at least three lost days due to weather. Good luck with your setup. .

  28. I did enjoy the reference Saul made when Jeff started casting doubt on the whole burglary plan during the practice run, saying the whole thing sounds crazy: "Do you know what's crazy? A 50-year-old chemistry teacher walks into my office; the guy is so broke he can't pay his mortgage. One year later, he's got a pile of cash as big as a Volkswagen."

  34. Unfortunately, none of this matters if the organization can’t develop these kids to be productive at the major league level. Al has proven you can consistently be awarded top tier draft picks and still fall flat on your face. The problem isn’t the draft picks, it’s where they end up after they join the organization.

  35. Between this, and especially recent comments by Chafin and Skubal, I'm starting to wonder whether guys are marking their calendars dreaming of the day they can get the hell out of here. After all, "unnamed executives" have been quoted in the press as having been told by the Tigers that every single player is available in trade, which basically confirms that the organization is complete and utter train wreck. Who would want to stick around wasting what's left of the precious time remaining in their career on that?
