  1. I'm starting to like Kerby Joseph. Colton Pouncy @colton_pouncy Kerby Joseph on Aaron Rodgers: "If that's his last pass, I'm saving that ball and I'm sending it to him so he can sign it. If he don't sign it, I'll understand. But I doubt he's gonna retire. He's probably gonna try to come back, and if he comes back, more plays for me." 1:10 AM · Jan 9, 2023

  2. Aaron Rogers lost the game because he's old and a jerk. The Packers blew the game with their unsportsmanlike play. So, really the Packers suck.

  4. Touchdown to retake he lead. Now bury the Packers and close out the season knowing you cost Green Bay a playoff chance.

  7. Eh, I was disappointed for a bit after the result but this has been a great season, they have a chance to ruin the Packers season and it's a big offseason with lots of resources to significantly improve the roster. This is the most hopeful I've been for the franchise's future since..... well....ever.

  8. Officials made tonight’s game unwatchable. That roughing the kicker, missed intentional grounding, fake unnecessary roughness, missed 2x taunting personal fouls all in like 5 minutes. That’s almost unbelievable. Almost.

  9. Have no idea why McVay called a timeout there. By calling that timeout you now bring up the possibility of Seahawks getting the ball back if you don't get a 1st down.

  11. I don't think we need to give anyone a chance to act for us to reasonably conclude that they're gonna get away with it all, and the only thing they will have learned from this is what they need to do better next time, as well as what not to do, so how are we gonna stop them next time, since there won't be any precedent set by punishing them this time? And I'm being serious here, because the killers are in the House, so ... what? They're going to censure several sitting House members, expel them, indict them, and imprison them? That's basically the only way to get the message across that you simply can't fuck with our democracy like this, but do we really think that's gonna happen? Or is the lesson to simply beat them at the ballot box and everything will work out in the end?

  13. It’s not just the players, it’s that Brad Holmes has absolutely crushed two drafts. Legitimately eight starters/regular contributors in two drafts and five more who could turn into good players. If he continues to be able to draft starters in rounds 3 and after, there is no ceiling for this franchise. It really is astonishing the talent he has brought in, with another massive opportunity to draft this spring.

  15. Freeze your credit. Each agency lets you freeze your credit profile. At that point nobody can check your credit score or open new accounts in your name. If you need to apply for a new credit card or loan, simply go to the websites and unfreeze your account, let them do their check, and freeze it again. Gives you peace of mind. If you have young kids I would also recommend you freeze their account as well. You don't want them turning 18 and finding out someone stole their identity 12 years ago and have been running wild with their credit. Links to the three main credit agencies and their pages for freezing your accounts: https://www.transunion.com/credit-freeze https://www.equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze/ https://www.experian.com/freeze/center.html

  17. In 20 degree weather, just not sure I expected a whole lot different from either team tonight. This seemed destined to be an old school, black and blue NFC North match-up. Just was never gonna be an "air it out" type game. Either way, the numbers don't lie, he was, both in terms of QBR and QB Rating, the best QB in their division and was a Top 10 overall in both categories. It's always smart to look to the future, but you would think the argument about the short to medium term would be put to bed by now.

  18. even with the refs on their usual pro-packers bullshit the lions still won. good on em. if only the refs in seattle had played fair.

  20. Take that SOL shit and shoot it into the sun. This team is for real folks, these guys are going to get better with experience and they're going to add substantially to the talent base in the draft and free agency. BNL

  25. Another view, this one from the Indy Star which has been the go to paper for the Indy since forever, so they probably have a bias to the Indy teams. Michael Andretti's answered every F1 challenge. It's time to green light Andretti Global. - Indy Star (couple of days old)

  26. Nevermind, this is the Lions, the refs will overturn this. Someone's pinky toe was probably out of bounds.

  30. I got enjoyment out of the Lions play the past 6 weeks or so, does it guarantee anything in the future? No, but ultimately the whole point of watching sports is to get enjoyment out of it and seeing the LIons play well, seeing/hearing the buzz that it generated around the city and having even that glimmer of hope for the playoffs gave me enjoyment. Would having a better pick be worth more in the long run? Possibly but it's not like you can't win with a worse pick so I'll take that along with the enjoyment I got over being miserable for the entire season but ending up with a better draft pick.

  31. If you can't find immediate help at #6 and #17 in the draft, then you shouldn't be an NFL GM. I was hoping for 7-10 this year, so this year was great progress. I kind of figured the playoff chase was over when they lost in Carolina. The first Vikings game was such a killer.

  32. All the talk about this game excuses all the games we were so close to winning and lost. A 3-4 start and the Seahawks game wouldn't matter. We got what we deserved. And we'll win the division next season.

  34. How dumb are the Nets? If you want a defensive anchor for Detroit at Center, see if the Nets will trade Nic Claxton for Bojan. Sort of limited offensively but knows his role and has solid range out to 4 feet. OK, his offense is a joke. But he is a lob threat and excellent on defense. Shot blocker plus defender. Possible all defensive candidate this year. Only 23 years old. I would do Bojan for Claxton + salary filler (maybe Patty Mills) straight up without a pick. You have to eat an extra year of the Mills contract at $6M per, but it would be worth it for Claxton. But Brooklyn says no in a hurry.
