We're currently being led by a guy whose favorite past time is name calling. And a guy *you* voted for. So please spare us your high minded talk about civilized debate and decorum... It's a load of horse****6 points

Great game. Not surprised. Congrats Canada 🇨🇦 Yes, it’s the wrong forum but this was more proof that everything touches almost immediately turns to ****. 💩3 points

Our bully in the White House brought politics into this. So I'm glad the Canadians won.3 points

It’s a circus because we allow morons like yourself that don’t believe our country is great and think the Constitution on which it’s founded has no meaning. Keep on supporting Russia and what they stand for while foolishly thinking that left leaning Americans are your enemy! ****ing idiots!3 points

I'd prefer Kavanaugh, Barrett and Roberts not be JOTSCOTUS, but that said, they are not in the same class of crazy as Thomas and Alito and are occasionally going to contribute to a reasonable result. Gorsuch is also his own kind of crazy, but over different things than Alito and Thomas. (EDITED)2 points

Please take New England, too! That way we can all still meet in Ogunquit every summer.2 points

My favorite was in 1998 during the home run chase. I was a HUGE Ken Griffey Jr. fan at that time, like my fandom for him trumped even the Tigers at that point and for awhile there he was right there with McGwire and Sosa. I had internet but the CPU was in my parents room so wasn't really accessible to teenage me at all times so watching Baseball Tonight was really the only way I could keep up with how Jr. was doing that night. Baseball Tonight would always do their gingle and cut to a highlight of the HR whenever one was hit, so anytime that would hit I would get all excited hoping it was gonna be a Griffey home run. Such good memories.2 points

Yep. Same here. He would have taken credit for it if they'd won, so I am glad Canada won.2 points

I’m not trying to reverse jinx, but I expect a USA win, maybe 60% chance. Slight edge to Canada up front, slight edge to USA on defense, massive edge to USA in net and that could be the difference. Binnington is a half-goal to one goal handicap, imo. And I was NOT all in from the get go but kudos to those who were. My skepticism turned to enthusiasm a game or two in. Reservations at the sports bar I frequent were booked out by Monday night, the limited available walkins closed out around 10 minute ago. Wouldn’t know it by this pic I took 20 minutes ago but this place will be jammed to rafters an hour from now.2 points

Most if not all of the people who voted for President Trump still support him. He is doing what he said he would do and they are getting good results. It's the far left liberals like yourself that claim the sky is falling because that is what your political party including mainstream media want you to think. The US political system was full of corruption and waste and needed big changes. It's refreshing to see it happening.2 points

Those two are really good. They made me think about getting a BA subscription.1 point

If you have a great FB (and Jobe is supposed to) and you can command a 12-6 curve ( which supposedly is what he is doing now), that's a great base combination because it works against batters of either hand. Whatever you throw beyond those two is gravy.1 point

On Tigers Territory today Cody Stavenhagen talked about Jobe. Cody is in Lakeland and is seeing the workouts up close. He said Jackson's new curve is crazy. He said his stuff is elite and he's above where Skubal was in the same place in his development. I hope his pitching session shows up on youtube. Would love to see that. Cody isn't a homer. He stays objective imho. He believes he is so good, Harris and AJ will have to bring him up with the team out of ST. Imagine the front end of the rotation if guys can stay healthy!1 point

I keep on thinking of the skit from To Be Or Not to Be.... with Mel Brooks as Hitler singing "All I want is peace-a little piece of Poland, a little piece of France...."1 point

I don't wanna bring politics into a sporting event, but I agree. As an American.....pretty sad. But Canada is being bullied and threatened with economic ruin. I hate that for them.1 point

Well, the Tigers finished the season on a 31-13 streak. Over .700 baseball. Not many teams have that good of a streak in a season. As amazing as it was, it took the Twins losing almost as much as we were winning for us to pass them to make the playoffs. It really was an amazing end to last season. But as fans, we can't expect them to keep up that winning percentage. We can hope and root for it, but not many fans actually expect it.1 point

It looks like this forum is unmoderated now. Intelligent people can debate and have conversation but name calling says a lot about a person. You all have fun worrying about your pronouns while Americans will take pride in fixing the country. Someone should send your leader David Hogg an invite to this forum. He would fit in here.1 point

Yes, and also, there is a ****ton of oil and other natural resources up there. Personally, I think he’s using the Canada 51 canard as a distraction tool while they destroy America’s constitutional democracy under our noses. I bet he’s getting notes on this stuff, too.1 point

Also some in northern Idaho around Couer D' Alene. I know because we used to follow the potato & onion trucks and pick up refuse after the trucks would hit a bump or navigate a curve too fast.1 point

Death panels are evil, the government should not get to decide who dies. But here me out..... Life panels, where the government decides who lives. Pretty solid concept, right?!?! </thoughts from a MAGA>1 point

With this administration, cruelty IS the point. My younger sister is in a similar boat, and I don’t know what she’s going to do if this is stripped away.1 point

My adult daughter has multiple needs. She's deaf, struggles with spectrum issues, disabled. She is able to enjoy a level of independent living through Medicare and SNAP. This is a life we cannot provide her; it would break us within a year. The difference is that our daughter has a family to care about her; too many of her peers' families have long ago forsaken them. As parents we fully apppreciate the expense Medicaid provides. Any waste or fraud only takes from those who most need the aid. This is not how to make a system better. This is pulling the plug - literally, for some - on life support. The question is not what sort of political move this is. The question is whether this is the sort of society we aspire to be. Some argue Medicaid isn't a right. But it is the right thing to do.1 point

I don’t think anyone on this forum really care one way or another about David Hogg. I haven’t thought about him in years until he was posted to this forum.0 points
