So glad I decided to go at the last minute. And surprisingly I even stayed till the end and didn’t leave when they were losing since that’s usually what happens there. What a game. What a team. El Mago so nice to see you again4 points

I tried to tell all you guys 3 years ago that Dingler wasn't going to develop into anything but oh no, you wouldn't listen to me.3 points

Would love to see that series with Ivey and Stew playing.3 points

Like I said above, it just isn't worth it in this day and age. When even the elite guys are only throwing 100 pitches at most you're only looking at about 6 innings a start and about 180-190 innings a year. At those numbers the difference between an elite guy and average guy just isn't that much in terms of run differential. Not nearly enough to justify the cost.2 points

so much of this season hangs on whether Torkelson and Baez can keep doing what they are doing. They've been a huge boost. You could say the same for McKinstry but I have no doubt that in his case he will cool down - it may still be a career year for him just from the boost off this start, but he's the one player I'll bank on coming at least most of the way back to earth.2 points

Starting pitchers aren't worth what they used to be, even as great as Skubal is he rarely goes more than 7 and will be under 200 innings a year. Last year in 192 innings Skubal gave up 54 runs, a league average starter with a 4.00 ERA would have given up 84 so 30 runs over the course of the season. Definitely not insignificant but is it worth what Skubal will command in FA? Not to me it isn't, so keep him for the next 2 seasons and let somebody else overpay for his decline years.2 points

Having an expensive military parade for a draft dodger who just fired a bunch of veterans from government positions under the guise of a budget crisis is beyond disgusting. What is this? North Korea?2 points

I'm baffled by the way JB has handled Ausar's minutes in this series. Brunson loves it though2 points

Well, you are listening like an 11 year old, but your falling asleep in the 3rd inning like a post 60-year old.2 points

Think of Cade this way. He just had a great season and playoffs while still having some problems in his game. Now imagine what a monster this kid will be when he starts to solve some of those problems.1 point

I will say, about the only way to get Trump to care about Ukraine not falling to Russia is to ensure that he gets something out of it. I really don't know what precious minerals Ukraine has, but do they match up with the needs of Trumps favorite oligarchs though? That's the ultimate question. If it's just potash and none of the tech bros care about that and Trump can't find someone to ensure he gets a piece of the profit, then the deal is worthless. If Trump can profit though, he'll have no problem using the military to ensure he gets it.1 point
-
With the mineral deal signed (excellent negotiating on Ukraine's part to get a fair deal instead of Trump's "ream them up the ass" deal he first proposed...); Trump needs to take a hard line with Russia. I know he doesn't want to... but he now needs to declare a "No-Fly Zone" west of the Dnieper and put American troops and Air Defenses in the western part of Ukraine in order to shoot down Russian missiles... and their launch capabilities if necessary.1 point

This might be the first off season in 15+ years that Detroit could be a positive destination for veteran free agents looking for a chance to win. Does Det bring back Beasley, Hardaway or Schroeder? Or go after some other vets? Should be a fun off season1 point

if you've ever studied or read up on the creation of the interstate system you know that the prestigious routes are those endingin 0 or 5. Last week I drove to TN to visit family and everytime I hit the 75/70 interchange in OH I get a warm fuzzy feeling. Like it's something special. I don't hit 75/40 because my family lives southwest of here whereas 75 starts to go east, but 40 runs right through the town there and when we cross it while driving around down there it's recessed pretty low from the mainland so it feels like some separate pathway to the rest of the country. "Ooh... if I get on that and go west I can get to Oklahoma City and Flagstaff and Alberqeurque.... should I just go?" and it's been confirmed with my third trip down in a year that KY Interstate drivers are the worst when it comes to hogging the left lane on the interstate. Had so many problems with that all 3 times. In OH, when you are on the stretch from Toledo to Dayton and it's only 2 lanes, everybody knows what to do. Let the trucks do their thing if they have to pass.... no problems. But in KY something switches. But it's a beautfiul state to drive in. The roads are nice and shiny and the scenery is lovely. I had about 30 minutes of intense white knuckle downpour/30 mph/hope the lights in front of me are going the right way driving so I missed some of it. I love 500 mile solitary drives.1 point

At least Trout got to 85 WAR. On a certain level, you could say about Miggy that he was also a what-could-have-been Hall of Famer, given how big his talents were and how much he skated by on that and only that, but practically no one would ever say that about a Triple Crown-winning, 500-homer-hitting, 3,000-hit-having, big-personality alpha dog.1 point

Considering the state of the division and this team's makeup, if they aren't contending in 2026 in July then something happened.1 point
-
Unless we have an anti-2024 and go something like 10-30 in the next 40 games, the chances we trade Skubal while we are in playoff contention are absolute zero, and that goes double if we are leading our division in July, and triple if we have the best record in the league. We are not the Al Avila Tigers anymore. We don’t have to scheme to get unproven birds in the bush when the bird we have in the hand now can help us win a ring this year. Good teams simply don’t trade away the top of their roster just as they start dominating their league, all because they might lose a guy two years from now. That thinking strikes me as some sort of trauma-induced anxiety. You guys, I got the name of a good therapist for you … 😉1 point

This was the game right here. Called it as soon as I saw it happen. And it wasn’t just this game either. Ausar has been mishandled by JB for most of the series.1 point

A lot of players didn’t have it tonight. Can’t deny that, but this game was still close and I put the loss on JB. Lineups were mind boggling for most of the game and then when you have it in your hand you let them go on a run to end the game by taking out the guy who was making everything happen for you in the 4th. Idiocy. that said, what hurts the most is that this series is actually 3-3 now and we should be heading to Madison Square Garden for game 7. We won game 4. The NBA knows it. The refs know it. The Knicks know it. But they’re getting their Boston/NYK series so it doesn’t matter.1 point

You get a wide open look for your best 3 point shooter and he fumbles the ball. That and the no call is the difference in this series.1 point

trump has someone new writing for him. You can tell because: a) this is too long to be a normal Trump post b) the vocabulary is several steps above the normal Trump post c) it's too logical to be a normal Trump post. d) and the slam dunk: there is actual concern expressed for people other than Trump.1 point
