Than you likely don't give anyone the benefit of the doubt.

It is true I don't trust any national level politician.  They ALL lie frequently.  Some are worse than others.  Some have lines they won't cross.  Others have no respect for the truth at all.

McConnell fell and suffered a concussion. This is how they treat their own.

Again, like with Fetterman, it's one thing when we are talking about policy differences..... but this just signals that you are a terrible human being.

It tends to be a pattern with Trump groupies....

They are the most disgraceful collection of human beings I have seen.  I am not talking the followers.  They are just being manipulated.  I am talking about the higher ups who hang with Trump.

Jenna Ellis............who is a Christian...........don't worry, she'll keep telling you that,  she'll keep telling you that because nothing she does would lend any hint that she followed any teachings of Christ. .      I'm sure Jesus would make fun of a senior citizen getting a concussion.

Agreed, even the "good" ones are really good at giving only the truth that supports what they want.  Half truths never cut it with my parents when I was growing up, I wish it wasn't accepted with our politicians.

My baby boomer father is 76 and has been retired for 20 years. How fortunate were baby boomers who didn't need a college education and could retire at 56.

I know that there are some people like that.  In Ontario the most outrageous example of that was the elementary school teachers union pension plan, one of the best in the universe.

Just for some balance, my brother is 73 and works at Amazon, in the "fulfillment" area, not because he wants to of course.  Something that a lot of us boomers have in common is that we lost our jobs in the mid-1990's when we were in our mid-40's.  I certainly did.  It was the first time that there was a computer on every desk, and huge tranches of administrative jobs disappeared along with layers of supervision.  One of Kondratieff's waves I guess.

Ironically my dad's Ford plant is now an Amazon distribution center. It employs half the people at half the wages. The 90's were a good decade for my parents. My dad had more overtime than he could handle. By 2003 he had his 30 years in and retired.

Be interested to know the "life span" of those workers at amazon centers.  Not how long they live but how long they work.  Bring people in, work them to death and milk them, then let them leave and wait for the new batch.  Pay just enough to get them in the door.  Like mortgage and financial service places but the goal there is they contact all their friends, family, neighbors... everybody they know.

You’re making a really good point here. Anyone who is truly following and reflecting the teachings of Christ doesn’t have to constantly declare that they’re followers of Christ. Actions, not words.

exactly.      you should not have to TELL me.

You know who's acting more Christian than she is?   Dave Grohl, the Devil himself, who is cooking food for the homeless.     That's what Jesus would be doing, not making fun of an elderly man who fell down.

Not a fan of Mitch, but I don't find humor in an 81 year old man getting a concussion.   But hey, they joked about Paul Pelosi getting attacked with a hammer too.

A former evangelical explained this once and I found it illuminating

Professing your Christianity has replaced being Christian with these people

It is really just that simple - I am Christian because I say I am. My unchristian acts have no more relevance than the lack of any Christian acts.

They see no hypocrisy in having Christian on your bio as you degrade your fellow Americans

Randall Berka is the man arrested for threatening Whitmer and others.   He's a nut case.  He was involuntarily committed in 2012.  He was legally prohibited from owning guns but his mother purchased three guns for him.   She needs to be arrested and charged.   Don't have any sympathy for her.   The law only works when it's followed and I don't care for any sob stories about poor mom.

Something finally happened that was inevitable.

A Sovereign Citizen was shot and killed by the police in Utah.    It started over the SovCidiot's refusal to register his car or have a license plate,  which is an invitation to get pulled over.    See, he's not driving, he's traveling.   That's the SovCit argument and it's based on a definition from Black's Law, which is not the actual law, but a law dictionary.........only problem is that it's from Black's Law's first edition, circa 1891 and second edition from 1902,  when people riding in a horse-drawn carriage or stage coach were not driving it.    Black's Law now has 11 editions, with the latest being published in 2019.    In current Black's Law editions, the definition of driving is clearly stated as the person operating the vehicle.

Quote

driver: 1. Someone who steers and propels a vehicle.   It has had that definition since the 3rd edition in 1933.

Anyway,  these idiots think because they are not engaged in a commercial enterprise, that they are not "driving" and they always lose, too.     Plus the fact that Black's Law is merely a dictionary.     This guy refused to ID himself, refused to step out of the car and had a gun on his hip.   I guess he reached for it and at least 3 cops shot him.

His whole family is into this nonsense.    There is audio of him and his mother losing their shit in court a few years ago over this same sort of nonsense.   Knew that this would happen eventually.

Play stupid games.  Win stupid prizes.

Pay you damn registration, the money's used for roads,  roads aren't paid for in fairy dust and the state has the right to impose traffic laws and there is not a single state that doesn't require registration and license plates to drive a car.

Only slightly less annoying is the First Amendment Auditor (Frauditor), who love to go to Post Offices and stick a camera in people's faces.   None of them are employed.     They love to cite "Poster 7" that says you can film in a post office,    they leave out the part that says WITH WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE POSTMASTER GENERAL.    Funny thing about those Frauditors is that they all seem to have serious injuries because when any cop or security person touches them they start screaming about some sort of injury they have.      I've seen a few of those guys get a mild beating for crossing the wrong private citizen, but one of them is going to get killed too.   One frauditor in Nebraska or Kansas dresses all in black (even in the summer) and covers his face.........looks like he's got tactical gear.   One time he motioned like he was whipping a gun out and somehow didn't get shot.   Pretty stupid move.   One of those guys is going to do that and get killed.

Man Who Spray-Painted ‘Groomer’ On Libraries Caught With Child Porn, Police Say

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/man-who-spray-painted-groomer-on-libraries-possess-child-porn-police-say_n_640b4a53e4b09c5c6d6e94f9

A former Maryland elementary school librarian arrested for spray-painting the word “Groomer” on two other libraries also possessed child pornography, police say.

Charles Sutherland, 31, was arrested last June and charged with multiple hate crimes for allegedly spray-painting the word “Groomer” on two public libraries in New Carrollton and Greenbelt, WTOP reported. Libraries have become recent targets among right-wing extremists who accuse librarians of being “groomers” for featuring pro-LGBTQ books and hosting book readings.

Nicholas Brown, a library spokesman for Prince George’s County, said in June that the LGBTQ community “is a particular target” in the area.

“The library will not waver in its commitment to maintaining welcoming spaces to LGBTQ+ customers and their allies,” Brown said at the time.

Police took a laptop from Sutherland’s home, but forensic processing wasn’t completed until this January.

Sutherland, who worked as a school librarian at Northview Elementary School in Bowie, allegedly had seven files on his laptop related to child pornography, according to WUSA9.

Sutherland now faces child pornography charges along with hate crime charges and will stand trial later this year.

Sutherland was charged with multiple hate crimes for allegedly spray-painting the word “Groomer” on two public libraries in New Carrollton and Greenbelt.

Police searched Sutherland’s home at the time and found numerous diapers, children’s dolls, and a child-sized doll in Sutherland’s bed. Charging documents said Sutherland has no children, nieces or nephews.
