Stock prices plummeted at an alarming rate this morning, because of the shocking weakness of the economy under Joe Biden's mismanagement. In afternoon trading, the strong economy left in place by Donald Trump caused stock prices to post positive results for the day.5 points

Not happy about the Rams winning is OK in my book, but not being happy for Stafford and his play + winning today is just sad. The guy was a warrior for this franchise and was always a team oriented guy.4 points

I don't think they've told him to "shut up". They are making fun of his positions and views. Blacks athletes are expected to know their place as entertainers and jesters for white people and not "get all political, that's not why I watch". When a white athlete or entertainer expresses solidarity with the red hats... well that's just "normal red blooded americans being patriotic. Rah Rah Rah".3 points

Employers, hospitals, etc should be able to mandate. Government mandates are a bridge too far. What is going on in Florida and other states where employers can't mandate is just as oppressive as a mandate.2 points

Best one I saw was "That's twice this season that we thought Aaron Rodgers had a shot, and were wrong." And I say that as a Packers fan that was in attendance for that fiasco.1 point

At least former Republican Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, married to former Republican State Rep and MIGOP Chairwoman Laura Cox, has the gumption to call out the BS in his Republican Party. Good job Republican Mike Cox.1 point

You can't have Carson Strong, Carson Wentz and Chris Carson on the same team. Too many Carsons. Fire Ausmus.1 point

I really hate the Chiefs. Of course the Bills shit the bed. I didn't watch the game and didn't realize that the Bills didn't squib kick with 13 seconds left until this thread. That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.1 point

I just mentioned that. Didn't one governor actually kill it 20 years ago or so and ended up with a bunch of red ink? edit. I found this https://taxfoundation.org/jim-gilmores-car-tax-repeal-plan-18-years-later/1 point

Killian getting some run with Cade on the bench is so good for him. Should keep bringing him off the bench so he can play the point guard role that he was drafted for.1 point

This is dems trying to play the racist card again. Nowhere did they say anything about race or anything that is even remotely racist. Gilchrist is wearing a mask and to that person he is scary because of his politics. Most people like me would agree. Democrats love to keep racism alive and well so they can try to use it in their favor. It didn't work this time.1 point

Stafford has twice as many playoff wins as Tua, Herbert, and Connor Cook combined.1 point

He did. Still remember 2016 versus the Vikings. Very similar situation to this one (around 40 seconds left, 1 timeout)1 point

Was Stafford the problem for 12 years? I think that has been answered once and for all. 🤪🤪1 point

In the Golden Tate play, this rule still would have caused them to lose the game, as the reviewed play was 3rd and Goal. Spiking the ball would not have been an option if the play had been ruled correctly originally, as it would have resulted in a 4th and Goal from an inch or so out. That said, I don't think the rule as it reads now is perfect. I understand why it exists, but in a situation like the Golden Tate one, the Lions should have had one more opportunity to run a play. If I were to propose a change to fix it, it would be related to how long the play was. For instance, if the play which goes from a running clock to a stopped clock is longer than X yards (probably 10-20 yards), it results in a ten-second run-off. If the play is less than X yards, it results in a five-second run-off. Just make the run-off a little more realistic with respect to how long it actually takes the offense to get to the line and get set.1 point

I love how they call Stafford's throws "Mahomesim" when Stafford was doing that long before Mahomes came along.1 point

Utah has been really struggling lately for whatever reason. Still, the Pistons are getting better. We still have too many clunkers against good teams but I think the second half of the season will be better than the first. Obviously getting another cornerstone thru the draft would be great but I find myself rooting for the Pistons to win games this year more than I have in previous years. Not that I get upset with losses. But I think we are in a position now where free agency is as viable an option as the draft. It sucks that we blew the Killian pick (although I think he could still be a decent player on another team that doesn't have Cade Cunningham). It's very important that if we draft in that 4-10 range, we don't blow it again (Stanley Johnson, Luke Kennard, KCP, etc). We need to find that Scottie Barnes or Franz Wagner, assuming we don't get a top 2-3 pick.1 point

With this whole lockout thing and all the drippy talk we’ve heard over the years about “the fans“ and how much baseball love us, it just underlines how we’re not even “stakeholders“ in their racket — you know, the way corporations refer to their disposable employee base. We’re not even included in that food chain.1 point
