Just re-watched Zelenskyy's remarks to the UN from a couple of days ago, so impressive. Calling them out for being so ineffective, suggesting that the Security Council be dissolved. He is the strongest leader on the planet right now, and it isn't even close. Some people have commented on the similarities to Churchill, and there certainly are some - he is that uniquely gifted person who was in the position at a time when the world needed it most. But the differences are stark - Churchill had craved such a role for his entire life, Zelenskyy would never have asked for it. I'm watching Kira Rudik right now, she is a member of the legislature in Ukraine. She is on a panel on a France 24 current events program, and is forcefully demanding more weapons especially surface to air. Another very, very passionate advocate for Ukraine.3 points

That's tough. The Tigers will eventually need to stop batting one of their worst hitters in the 5th spot in the batting order.2 points

Shouldn’t we be critical if he hasn’t “found himself”? Nobody wants to see him fail or under-achieve.2 points

It really was an instant classic. 5 innings of 1 run ball from our BP. Against a good hitting team. This Tiger team really may be special.1 point

This game was a perfect example of why we need a more accurate way to call balls and strikes. Just terrible, terrible ball/strike calling.1 point

Apropos of nothing…. Sotomayor went to the same h.s. as I did in the Bronx (Cardinal Spellman), but I was only there for a year then we moved to Jersey. Also, she would have been a year behind me. My biggest regret moving to Jersey was leaving that high school. It was incredible.1 point

Division winners: Yankees, White Sox, Astros in AL; Braves; Brewers, Dodgers in NL Wild card winners in order: Blue Jays, Rays, Angels in AL; Phillies, Mets, Padres in NL Tigers will win 77. We’ll score a gaggle of runs here and there, but the bullpen is still a mess, and the back half of the rotation still seems unsettled. Really, it’s gonna come down to which teams are healthy and which are gimpy. It almost always does.1 point

At least the second Trump official charged in a child porn ring. Google Adam Hageman. I assume there were no pizza parlors involved in either case.1 point

Despite being the reigning MVP and possibly winning it again this year I still find Jokic to be strangely underappreciated..atleast by the average NBA fan. I'm sure the diehards understand his greatness but I think your everyday fan probably doesn't realize how good he is.1 point

I saw that the Prodigal Son Alex Avila is working for MLB Network as an analyst now, I wonder if he would ever consider coming home and working for the Tigers? I know it's not going to happen this year but perhaps next year? Call me an ageist but I would like to get an analyst in the booth that hasn't been retired since the Clinton administration. Also nice to get a guy who has ties to the most recent good Tigers teams.1 point

Tricky thing about both Pistons' games is that they get both Milwaukee and Philadelphia on the back end of their respective back-to-backs. Milwaukee hosts Boston tonight (and Boston is in the 2-4 seed maelstrom) and then plays at Detroit the next night. Philadelphia hosts Indiana on Saturday and then hosts Detroit on Sunday. Milwaukee, if they care about seeding, is going to spend effort tonight for sure. Facing Detroit is the least of their worries right now. Its an easy game for the Bucks to overlook. Another wrinkle is that Detroit at Philadelphia is a nightcap to Milwaukee at Cleveland. Philadelphia might be taking the floor with its known seed in hand on Sunday night. The Pistons, despite the lack of talent depth, are playing hard. For all of the warts that they might have, they're playing hard. It's really not difficult to see a situation where they win their last two games of the season despite the discrepancy between their record and their opponents' records.1 point

Curious, who did they have at 11? Mathurin at 12 seems crazy to me too. I have him in the top 5 tbh. Scouts seems to really be falling in love with Murray lately. I'm seeing a lot of top 5 projections for him recently. I like Murray too but I'm not sure that he has as much upside as some of the more athletic younger prospects in that 2nd tier.1 point
