  1. Dan Miller’s radio call of the winning kick Last Second FG Beats Chargers.m4a

  2. Goff has progressions to follow. There are going to be times when the play is suppose to go to Jamo, and many others when it isn't.

  4. Last year they were 4th in Red Zone offense under the same coordinator cause the fact is that stat is completely volatile and really not predictive of anything. If you can coach an offense outside the 20 you can coach an offense inside of it.

  5. I mean, sure we won a shootout on the road, but this team is terrible and needs to fire cut everyone and fire every coach and front office person, then forcibly remove the team from Sheila. After that... I'm not sure.

  6. BTW remember this game in the future if one of Campbell's aggressive calls comes back to bite us and people in turn bash him for it, his aggressiveness probably won us this game.

  7. I actually think that 4th down call was a no brainer. Put this game on the offense, not the defense.

  10. I'll beat the horse one more time. (Really I'm not looking for a horse to beat, I'm just procrastinating.) Here is David Montgomery on the Jaymo block: “Definitely, I want to highlight (Williams). That’s the second time this year I’ve been running and Jamo’s been there to lead the way. That takes a lot from him, too, for him to be who he is and be able to run and go block for me. I was running as fast as I was, and he was jogging and he still beat me. I’m a little hurt about that. But I’ll suppress those feelings for later.” He was jogging and he still beat me. Classic. 😂

  11. Hey Lord, I think the comments were more like ...he started the year so strong, was everywhere making plays, and has not been the same since he was out a couple games back with that ankle injury... Definite looking for some explanation...but not a new injury...

  12. This is why a second Trump presidency would be much more dangerous than the first. Him and his loyalists know what they can and can’t get away with, and if he gets all the right people in place, he can get away with a lot more. This isn’t alarmist to think with the right people in place, the damage to this country could be immeasurable.

  14. Doesn't China coin it as Socialist Capitalism or something like that? The stories I hear from smaller businesses over there is that it's probably like having a business in New Jersey when the mob was big. A guy I went to school with worked at his dad's business. They made paint/stain in Michigan and shipped it to China (I was surprised by that too) then had a distribution warehouse in China. They had to hire a daughter from one of the local officials and she was essentially a no-show employee. Keep her on the payroll and don't cause trouble, and they were good.

  15. The stories are good, we've enjoyed them. BTW the Bosch series continues with Bosch Legacy. I think it's either on Showtime or Freevee (my wife follow them more than I do) If you like Bosch you might also check out the Corman Strike. The first series are on HBO. It's based on the crime novels of Robert Galbraith (J K Rowling)

  16. Just finishing the first season of Bosch. Some really bad acting but the series is enjoyable enough to continue.

  17. I’m a bit surprised by the national narrative on Sunday that the Wolverines ran run after run against a top run defense and were unstoppable. No, they were actually stopped time and again and kept giving the ball back. It was successful at eating up minutes and the bet that Penn St’s feeble offense wouldn’t be able to capitalize on possessions did pay off. Michigan won the game. Thanks to the defense getting a late 4th down stop in Penn State that Michigan’s running finally turned Into big yardage and a score on the next play. This was not like the 2nd half of the 2021 OSU game when the running game truly was unstoppable on multiple long scoring drives.

  18. There's too much obsession with Jamo anyway not just here but all over social media as well. The Lions are 7-2 and have a top 5 offense yet we get all this Jamo talk. I get that he was a high pick that they traded up for but who cares right now? The focus should be on enjoying the Lions success and riding that wave. If they were losing and the offense stunk then I'd understand if that what looks like failed pick would be the center of discussion but that's not the case.

  19. I think Income disparity is the single overarching problem for the political process in the US for this century. The European democracies have done a better job on this issue while the US has let the problem get so bad we may already be past the tipping point where reversal is even possible. But money is only power until there is blood on the street, then the rich have to run for cover just like everyone else - probably more so.

  20. If someone would have told me that at this point of the season the Lions would be 4-1 on the road, I would have happily taken it. I wouldn't care how they won 4 road games, just that they won them. This winning culture is really a lot of fun. Please keep it going!

  22. This. We don't see practice, we don't know the route designs. Maybe for all his talent he hasn't learned to run his routes as accurately as St. Brown or LaPorta and/or maybe Goff also has less confidence he knows Williams' speed well enough to have his timing down with him. Goff is playing the best QB of his career, based not in the least on success in his decisions about who he throws to. If this was a struggling passing offense, maybe Goff is more willing to elevate Williams in his read list, but it's not. Goff is basically in charge of the process on the field and he is going to work Williams into the game as his comfort level with him rises and probably not before.

  23. Trump is the most ****ed up public figure in United States history, a complete psychopath. Another term of his mental illness dominating the nation's psyche would be very bad for the country. I am questioning his ability and even his motivation to destroy America. The only thing I am sure about is that everything he does will be for the benefit of one person.

  24. I think all of you guys are giving up on Jamo too early. He's not a bad pick... and I don't think we even need to adjust expectations... I'm still on board with him being a dangerous, dominant receiver in the NFL... with multiple 1,000+ receiving years in his future. I think what needs to be adjusted is... His timetable. For whatever reason he is struggling with (injuries, can't do anything about that) his timing with Goff, his route running and hands. Wow, that sounds bad. But the offset to those problems is that he appears to (A) love the game and (B) is dedicated to getting better. I'm giving him more time to prove himself, one way or the other. It sucks that he is slow to get up to speed. But he gets there. IMO. And I don't want to offer impatient takes... which is what everyone here is giving right now, and it's understandable... but I think those are the wrong takes and the correct take is that this is a kid who just needs more time.

  25. Great game. Herbert had a great game and we came out with a win against a tough team on the road. Definitely a game that they will look at defensively and look to improve on. Run defense looked good though and against one of the best RB's in the league. Definitely need to improve on a more balanced strategy. It's nice to see what our offense will look like when we have both RB's and healthy offensive line. Not a perfect game but a win is a win especially on the road against a team that was desperate for a win. On the whole Jaymo discussion. I think you have to change your expectations as time goes on. At this point it was a bad pick. I just have accepted that. Even if he ends up being a good to great receiver, a year and a half (lets face it will probably be two years) of low production out of the 12th overall pick is a bad pick. I don't care how many good blocks or if he has a good play here and there. Its a bad pick. You really couldn't convince me that it was a good pick. If St. Brown all of the sudden looked like an average WR, would you be OK with that because he was drafted late? No, you would be disappointment and expect more from him. That being said, my expectations for Jaymo now change because its already decided its a bad pick. Now I want him to be a threat and keep on making good blocks. At this point, I am not worried about where he was picked. Just have to accept it was a bad pick and move on. It does matter where the team is at as a whole when I look at individual players. In the past I would focus more on where players were picked and their production because the team was bad.

  26. It may be, but China is showing a willingness to talk. If someone is willing to talk to you, I think the default should always be to listen. Worst case, waste of time. Lots of best case possibilities though.

  28. At the other end of the spectrum, it was pretty cool to see Goff trust LaPorta on that ballsy 4th down play at the end, putting the game in the hands of his rookie tight end

  30. The Lions would be on their 10th offensive coordinator, 8th defensive coordinator, and 5th head coach if they listened to you. Relax. Enjoy it. We'll probably lose 4 to 6 games this season. But not this one. 😁

  33. That was probably painstaking listening to it live if you werent watching since the crowd was like 50/50, normally when you hear the cheers you know by that what the outcome is but in this case you couldn't tell if the cheers were because he made it or missed it until Dan makes the call.
