And the new cba definitely gives them incentive to have Greene and Torkelson on the roster day 1, so Greene is likely committed to consistent time. If they could get someone like Conforto for the next few years within whatever their budget is, then great, but I wouldn't try to patch an outfielder in right now. I think pitching is a greater need. The OF is more potential than established at this point, but pitching depth is a necessity if they have any designs on competing this year. If they can help eat up innings and can be kept for the season, fantastic. They milked a lot of success out of the arms they had last year, but I think counting on those same arms to do it again would be foolish. Cisneros was wrung out completely the last month or two. I think Funkhouser in particular was the beneficiary of a lot of good luck last season.
