I've been saying...the last time Cabrera was our 3rd baseman, he won the Triple Crown and we went to the World Series. 🤣🤣1 point

Wait, the is-it-a-nothing-burger debate is actually over a . . . burger?! Wow...1 point

Not really, it's about building depth in the minor leagues that can be useful when injuries and attrition inevitably happen. Avila did not use the waiver wire like this. He just didn't. We all acknowledged this as an issue when Avila was GM. Now that Harris is here, it gets mocked. I dont get it.1 point

It's surreal watching this today and thinking about 2 years ago.... the cops pointing their guns at the door we are seeing quite often.1 point

A couple pages ago the notion of Santa Ono and Warde Manual allowing Harbaugh and Michigan to lead the charge into the new era of college football was floated. I think a lot of us (myself included) thought of things such as NIL and transfer portal matters that Michigan is well behind on (though catching up). An alternative way of doing that, if he stays, would be for Jim, Warde, and Michigan to help coordinate the effort and lead the charge for the B1G and SEC to disband from the NCAA altogether for the purposes of college football. It’s overdue.1 point

I disagree. I'm more worried about the Lions run defense in a cold weather game, and their ability to run the ball on the road, but... agree to disagree. Rodgers is always a worry but this isn't MVP Rodgers anymore.1 point

I have no clue who Kayley Bishop is. Maybe just a YouTube music star? But she did a dynamite job covering Like a Rock by Seger here. One of the best women artists I've heard doing Seger.1 point

Today wearing a Michigan hoodie at work. Coworker asks me about the violations. I tell him that we embrace them as the artist embraces the restrictions of the medium. Like a haiku that has to follow the strictures of a certain format. The challenge will only make our victory in the national championship all the sweeter.1 point

Harbaugh dug is own grave deeper on this one by lying about what he did and didn't do. The cover up is worse than the crime sometimes.1 point

Stew ragdolling Green a bit was nice to see. Nice to have a guy on the floor who can handle the bullies1 point

i doubt it is much more than harbaugh not answering the questions because he's weird. regardless, its a black mark on the program. or at least it will be perceived as a black mark by those who care about such things. and besides that point, it will be in the news for a few days and people will take their shots at "holier than thou" michigan and those that still believe michigan is somehow "holier" than other programs will be upset about it. i think its more fuel for harbaugh to leave and can be an excuse for him to go. "fed up with the ncaa" type stuff, rather than "i really want to go coach in the nfl again," which is likely the real reason. i think this is a nothingburger. but i also think michigan needs to cheat better and i dont believe they are holier than anyone (other than michigan state). that said, it IS a black mark on how the program likes to view itself and the image it likes to give off to the rest of the world. it will be played up by the media and - like with juwan and the wisconsin incident - be bad publicity for the university. so i expect harbaugh to leave, then a bunch of players will transfer, and a team that was set up to win next year will be gutted and not live up to expectations. when it rains it pours.1 point

Remarkable how Dolly has ascended to the level of national treasure, and when I see historical things like this, it’s easy to see her laying groundwork for that.1 point

The violations are minor, but he lied to investigators and they don't like that. If he'd owned up to them it probably would have meant a couple scholarships.1 point

I remember reading Harris saying after moving Jimenez for Mallory that "trades are hard" which I interpreted as all GM's are griping their prospects tight and valuing the same things as Harris does. That plus as Chasfh noted about Harris being caught by surprise by the high cost of free agency in both dollars and years has led to some missed opportunities resulting in Harris lamenting about commiting innings and AB's to youngsters because thats all that's left to do. He has my full support but I was hopeful of adding one "foundation" or at least solid piece this off season and was guessing maybe Contreras who can catch, play some left field and oh yes HIT. Maybe Mallory will prove to be that addition or something might still happen. I think it's better to play the youngsters rather than sign older retreads for 1 to 2 years but I would like to see a balance as G2 and RatkoVara stated. We could always just bench, trade or release these short term guys "if" a youngster proved superior and yet have the parachute if they don't.1 point

If Harbaugh gets a 3-game suspension, how is Michigan going to survive its non-conference schedule?1 point

Walker and Lockett were both DNP on Wednesday and Thursday. Would be big losses for Seattle if either or both can't go.1 point

The compromise candidate has to be a Republican, and if we are being completely honest, it would have to be put forward by a Republican as well. The moment a Democrat formally advances a candidate while McCarthy is maintaining his current share, that candidate would become politically radioactive imo.1 point

If they can't get a Speaker, no monetary things can happen, so they don't get paid. If this goes on long enough, maybe they all get pissed off and go home. We can pick names out of a phone book to replace them and be better off. Win OK, I've had a few beers and a doobie (thanks Michigan) so I'm only half kidding.1 point

It's kind of crazy how impactful Duren is already and he just turned 19. He needs to develop an away from the basket game like Bam Adebayo has but he is on one heck of a trajectory. Imagine this guy at 23-25 years old?1 point

Went back to the DMV today. Toyota released the lien, finally. Virginia gave us a new title. All it took was one or more employees to have enough gumption to ask a supervisor for assistance.1 point
